  4. Some get this error due to hardware issues. 

How To Fix AMD Radeon Settings Missing Error

We have mentioned all the possible reasons you are getting AMD Radeon setting missing errors on your Windows PC. Therefore, it’s time to find out some best fixes that will help you to fix this issue. So, let’s take a look at them: 

Method 1: Turn on The Windows Audio Service

The first thing you need to turn on is your Windows audio service, as sometimes we accidentally disable it on our PC, and that may come up as the main culprit for this error. So, you can follow the given guidelines to enable it on your Windows PC: 

  1. First of all, open the Run utility box and search for services.msc.
  2. Then, locate and double click on the Windows Audio service. This will open the properties window.
  3. Now, from the list, you need to select the Automatic option located in the drop-down menu of the Startup type section.
  4. Then, hit the Start button located under the Service status.Turn on The Windows Audio Service

Now, in case the Start button is still grey out. Then continue following the steps we have mentioned further:

  • Now, switch to the Log On tab and click on the Local System account.
  • After that, shift to the Recovery tab and Restart the Service located in front of the First failureSecond failure, and Subsequent failures and hit the Ok button.Recovery tab
  • Now, simply hover back to the General tab and click on the Start button. 

Method 2: Update BIOS

It is possible that your PC is running on an outdated BIOS. Therefore, in case it’s been now an eternity since you have updated your BIOS, then you can check and, if available, update it. Meanwhile, in case you don’t familiar with how to do this, follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. First of all, you have to check out the BIOS version of your device. To do so, simply use the Windows search bar and search for System Info. 
  2. Then, open your browser, navigate to your system manufacturer website, and check if any BIOS update is available. Then, compare it with the version that you have. 
  3. After that, download it and install it manually on your PC.

Method 3: Check The Hardware

There is also a huge chance that your GPU may get damaged. So, you can check if there is any hardware damage that occurs on your PC. To do so, simply check the PCI-E slot or other related slots. If they appear to be not working properly, then this type of issue is common. However, in that case, you need to hover to your nearest service center or skilled repair show to make it work again. 

Method 4: Change AMD Registry Settings

  1. Initially, open the Run prompt box and search for regedit. This will open the Windows Registry Editor.

  4. After that, open the task manager and end every program related to AMD-related processes.

Method 5: Run AMD Driver in Compatibility Mode

Did you try this before? If not, then you must try running AMD driver in compatibility mode. Here are the guidelines that you need to follow to do this:

  1. Firstly, open the file explorer and navigate to the Local Disk C.
  2. After that, open the Program Files folder and locate the AMD folder. Then, open it.
  3. Now, simply right-click on the setup installation file and click on the Properties.
  4. Then, navigate to the Compatibility tab and select the Run this program in compatibility mode for option.
  5. Finally, hit the Apply button followed by Ok.

Method 6: Update Windows

It is possible that you may have some pending OS updates. So, you need to check and update it immediately. Therefore, to do so, simply hover over to the Windows Search bar and search for Check For Updates. Now, open the right option from the search result. Then, on the next open window, hit the Check For Updates button.

That’s it. Now, you must have to wait for a few minutes depending upon your internet speed, until it searches for the update online. Then, if it pop-ups any available update, then download and install it. After that, reboot your system and check if the issue gets fixed or not. 

Method 7: Reinstall AMD Graphics Card

Another fix that helped many users previously to fix the AMD Radeon settings missing error. So, you can also try this time also. But, how can you reinstall it on your PC? Well, very simply, but to do so, you need to follow some simple steps that we have mentioned here: 

  1. Firstly, open the Device Manager on your PC and click on the View tab.
  2. Then, from the drop-down menu, select the Show hidden devices option.Reinstall AMD Graphics Card
  3. Now, expand the Display Adapter settings and right-click on the name of your GPU manufacturer. Then, select the Uninstall Device option.  Uninstall Device option.

Method 8: Restore System

  1. First of all, open the Windows Settings by pressing the Win+I key simultaneously.
