Fix: F1 2021 Keeps Crashing on PC

The 2021 FIA Formula One World Championship, also known as F1 2021 is a motor racing championship game that offers Formula One car racing with stunning new features, awesome graphic visuals, a two-player career mode, and more. The game has been developed by Codemasters and published by Electronic Arts in July 2021. As a new title, the F1 2021 has a fair amount of issues and it literally keeps crashing on PC.

Sometimes administrator access issues, outdated graphics drivers, issues with the game files, outdated game patch version, issues with the DirectX and Visual C++ Redistributables, anti-virus protection issues, etc can trigger startup crashes.

1. Check System Requirements

Now, first of all, check out whether your PC configuration is compatible with the system requirements of the F1 2021 game or not.

2. Run the game/launcher as an Administrator

If you’re not running your game executable or the Steam client as an administrator on your Windows PC then the chances are high that the user account control system is blocking it. You should allow the admin access by following the steps below:

  • Right-click on the F1 2021 exe or the Steam launcher exe shortcut file on your PC.
  • Now, select Properties > Click on the Compatibility tab.

  • Make sure to click on the Run this program as an administrator checkbox to checkmark it.
  • Then click on Apply and select OK to save changes.

3. Update GPU Drivers

  • Press Windows + I keys to open up the Windows Settings menu.
  • Next, click on Update & Security > Select Check for updates under the Windows Update section.

  • If there is a feature update available, select Download and install.
  • Wait for some time until the update gets completed.

8. Disable Windows Defender and Firewall Program

If you feel that somehow the antivirus program or the firewall program is blocking the game files to run properly then make sure to disable both the security protection programs temporarily to check if that helps you or not.

  • Click on the Start menu > Type Control Panel and click on it.
  • Now, type firewall in the search box > Click on Windows Firewall.
  • From the left pane, click on Turn Windows Firewall on or off.
  • Make sure to select Turn off Windows Firewall for all the Private, Domain, and Public Network Settings.
