Fix: Android 12 Internet Not Working or Available Issue

Internet is one of the basic needs in today’s day-to-day life. We even can’t imagine our life without the internet as we are connected to this world through the internet, or we can say the internet is the backbone of any smart device. If the internet stops working for a while, we feel empty from the inside and slow down the continuing process like banking, education, communicating, and many more. However, there are many reasons behind the internet not working on Android 12, but we start it from the basic troubleshoot and then move to the technical section.

Moreover, you can check some basic things before moving to the fixes like expire mobile plan, and data limit exhausted, physical damage of SIM card or the wrong network is selected. Recharge or change the SIM’s damage according to your use and check if the internet is working.

Fix 1: Restart the Device

One of the primary methods to fix all issues is restarting the device. It is one of the trusted and tested methods to fix many glitches. Try the restart the device from the power button and wait for 30 seconds, then again press the power button to start the device and check if the internet is working or not.

Fix 2: Check and Disable Airplane Mode

Airplane mode or flight mode is used to disable all the cellular and wifi networks to prevent any disturbance while traveling from flights. However, the Airplane mode is the first option in the notification panel. While operating the phone, it turns on accidentally, and it will disable the Bluetooth and other internet options from your smartphone. You can disable the Airplane mode from the notification panel or follow the below steps.

Go to your device’s Settings app and navigate and tap on the Network and internet.
Now search for the Airplane mode and disable it from the toggle switch.

Also, you can turn it on and off to reset the network settings, and it will remove the minor connectivity bugs. If your device is not in Airplane mode, then you can turn it on and off and then check if your device’s data is working or not. Repeat the same method with the mobile data option from notification or the settings app.

Fix 3: Check for Update/ Reinstall the Beta Version

One of the best solutions is to check if any updated or stable version is available for Android 12 for your device. You can check if any update is available because the issue is already accelerated to the developers of Android 12, and it may fix by an update. If no update is available, install the OS version again because sometimes the OS files get corrupted, and it may show issues like the Internet or other feature may not work properly.

Check Update

Go to the Settings app and then click on System.
Then scroll down below and tap on System Update.
It will automatically search for new updates available for your device.
Moreover, if any update is available, download and install the update file and wait until the process is completed.
After that, it will restart and then toggle on and off once the mobile data and then check if the issue is fixed or not.

Reinstall the Android 12

Before reinstalling the OS, please save all your data because it will remove all the data in your device.

Download the Android 12 file from the internet and save it to your computer’s external or system file.
Then go to the Settings app and then click on System.
Then scroll down below and tap on System Update.
Now tap on the setting gear from the top right corner and select Local upgrade to install the oS for the download OS file.
Connect the Mobile to your computer or the external drive and give the path to the local update.
Wait till the system wipes out the old file and install the fresh OS on your Mobile.
After installing, complete the setup and connect to the internet from mobile data.

Fix 4: Reset APN (Acess Point Name)

The access point is a necessary configuration to connect with the internet from your device. However, this is set automatically, but we sometimes have to manually enter the access point’s name due to technical issues.

Go to the Settings app and select Wifi and Network from the Setting’s menu.
Then tap on Sim and Network and select the SIM you use for mobile internet.
Next, navigate and tap to the Access point names.
After that, select the internet option to enter the APN according to the cellular network.

Fix 5: Reset Network Settings

Reset Network settings will resolve all network-related issues. Follow the below step to reset the network settings to fix the network-related problems or boost the network speed.

Go to the Settings app and select System from the bottom of the Setting’s menu.
Now navigate to the reset option, select the Reset, and choose the network name you are using for mobile data.
Now tap on Reset settings again and enter your screen lock pattern, passcode, or password for confirmation. Then restart your device to apply the changes.

Fix 6: Wipe Cache Partition in Recovery Mode

Whenever we operate any app or OS cache, data is saved automatically on the system file to speed up the system performance. But the cache is creating issues, and to prevent your mobile form issues, wipe out all the system cache from the recovery mode.

Save all the important data and then turn off the mobile.
Then press and hold power and volume down button till you see the Android bot on the screen.
Again press the power and volume down button till the screen is on recovery mode.
Next, navigate the Volume buttons to Wipe Cache or Wipe cache Partition. To select the option, press the power button.
Wait till the process is complete, then restart the device.

Fix 7: Reset Factory Settings

If none of the above methods will work, the final and last method to fix the issue is to run a factory reset to the device. But make sure to save your data to prevent data loss.

Go to the Settings app and select System from the bottom of the Setting’s menu.
Then tap on the reset option and select Delete all data(Factory reset).
It will ask your screen lock to confirm a factory reset.
Wait till the process is complete, and the system will restart.
Complete the setup and then check if the issue is resolved or not.
