One essential component required for crafting bombs is Fungal growth.
Fungal growth is a special kind of material that you will find in the extracts of a couple of insects. These are not common insects and they are only present in certain parts of the map. Now, where do you find these insects and how do you kill them? That is what we will see here in this article.

Fungal growth is something that we need to blow things up. That is they are needed to craft bombs. And bombs are essential to have in your arsenal especially considering the vast number of enemies that you have to go up against. Now it can be harvested from infected Mites and infected Weevil. These two types of insects are present on the southwestern side of your map. This is the place where there is dry grass and a huge rake. Once you get to this point, you will see pesticide in the air, which will be like a yellow gas floating in the air. If you get in contact with this gas then you will lose health in a gradual pace.
Now, these two types of insects are inside this poisonous gas area but you don’t need to get inside them to find them. What you can do is just stroll along the edge from where the yellow gas spreads out. Don’t get inside the yellow space, but just roam around the boundaries. You will definitely encounter infected Mites and infected Weevils here.
Now the infected mites are quite easy to deal with and all you need is a few smashes and it will be done. You can then collect the fungal growth.
But with the infected Weevil, things are not so simple. When you hit an infected Weevil, it will start a countdown and it will explode after that countdown. It can happen when you are close to it too. So you need to avoid the explosion. Don’t let it stay close to you for a while wither as it will explode just by staying close to you.
The smartest thing to do with the infected Weevils is to smack them and let the countdown begin. Stay at a proper distance when they explode at the countdown. After the explosion, get close to the insects remains and you will find some fungal growth here.
Once you have the fungal growth, you can then use it for making bombs and cosmetic items. You can build an Ant Confuser Bomb that will stun ants instantly. It can come in handy if you are dealing with a number of soldier ants.
