Today, we’re excited to bring you the latest release: Android 7.0 Nougat for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S, specifically for model numbers T700, T705, T800, and T805. This guide will walk you through the process of installing the AOSP Android 7.0 Nougat on your Galaxy Tab S.
Although Android 7.0 Nougat has been officially released by Google, this particular ROM is an unofficial version built by developers from the Nougat source code. An XDA Senior Member, Schischu, has developed this AOSP Nougat ROM for the Galaxy Tab S, bringing the latest features to your device. Keep in mind that this is not a fully stable build, so proceed with caution and be aware of any potential issues. Below, we’ll outline what’s working and what’s not, along with step-by-step instructions to help you install the ROM on your Galaxy Tab S.

Tips’N’Tricks
- Hearthstone and several other Unity games: Enable 4x MSAA in development options, else it won’t work
- Slither.io and a few other games don’t run if 4x MSAA is enabled: Disabled 4x MSAA in development options else it won’t work.
- If you install Gapps after the ROM has been booted for the first time you either need to wipe data or manually delete /data/system/users/0/runtime-permissions.xml and reboot. Without this Gapps will crash constantly. This is due to the new permissions-system in M.
This is an alpha build of AOSP Android 7.0 built from the newly released Google Android Source Code. This is not stable enough to use it has a daily drive, But that doesn’t mean you will never get AOSP Android 7.0 stable build for Galaxy Tab S. Android 7.0 Nougat is the seventh major version of Google’s Android operating system, following Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Unveiled at Google I/O 2016, Nougat introduced new features and enhancements to improve the user experience. The first beta build of Android 7.0 Nougat was released on March 9, 2016, and it officially launched on August 22, 2016.
