It looks like multiple players are somehow getting conflicted with the crashing issue on the Windows platform due to several potential reasons. The chances are high that outdated graphics drivers, incompatible system requirements, corrupted game files, background running processes, lack of enough system resources, firewall or antivirus blocking, and more can be one of the possible reasons behind such an issue. 1. Restart the PC

As one of the first steps, you can try restarting the desktop or laptop to ensure there is no issue with the temporary system glitch or cache data. Sometimes a normal restart of the system can resolve multiple issues with the system’s performance. As rebooting the PC doesn’t take too much time, you can try it out.

2. Check the System Requirements

The second thing you can also try is checking out the system requirements of the LEGO Fortnite game. If your PC specification doesn’t meet the requirements then do the necessary upgrades to be able to play the game easily.

3. Run LEGO Fortnite as an Administrator

It’s also recommended to run LEGO Fortnite as an administrator on the PC by following the steps below to allow the User Account Control (UAC) permission. It eventually allows the system to run the game client and game application properly without any permission conflicts.

Right-click on the LEGOFortnite.exe application on your PC.
Select Properties > Click on the Compatibility tab.

Enable the Run this program as an administrator option.
Once done, click on Apply > Select OK to save changes.

4. Check for Graphics Driver Updates

An outdated or corrupted graphics card driver can trigger multiple issues with the games or system performance while running programs. It’s highly recommended to check the graphics driver update. To do so:

Press the Win+X keys to open the Quick Link Menu.
Click on Device Manager from the list > Double-click on Display adapters.
Right-click on the dedicated graphics card that you’re using.

If the latest update is available, it’ll automatically download & install the latest version.
Once done, restart the computer to apply changes immediately.

Alternatively, you can manually download the latest graphics driver version and install it on the PC via the official website. Download the graphics driver file respective to your graphics card model and manufacturer from the links below.

5. Update LEGO Fortnite

You can also try following the steps below to manually check for game updates. An outdated game patch version might trouble you a lot.

Open the Epic Games Launcher > Head over to Library.
Now, click on the three-dot icon next to LEGO Fortnite.
Make sure the Auto Update option is turned on.
Whenever the update is available, it’ll automatically install the update.

6. Scan and Repair the Game Files

You should also try verifying and repairing the installed game files on the PC to ensure there is no issue with the missing or corrupted game files. Just follow the steps below to perform the task.

Open the Epic Games Launcher > Go to Library.

9. Check Your Network Status

If your network connection has lower speed or instability then make sure to change the wired network to wireless or vice versa. You can also try using the mobile data hotspot to check if the specific issue is appearing or not. You can also power cycle your Wi-Fi router to clear temporary networking glitches.

10. Close Background Tasks

Unnecessary background running tasks can mostly consume a lot of system resources like CPU or Memory usage, eventually causing system performance issues. It’s better to close all unnecessary tasks and check for the issue again.

Press the Ctrl+Shift+Esc keys to open Task Manager.
Now, click on the Processes tab.
Click to select tasks that are unnecessarily running in the background.
Then click on End Task to close processes one by one.
Once done, restart your system.

11. Temporarily Disable Antivirus

You’ll have to turn off the Windows Security protection manually to avoid multiple issues with LEGO Fortnite. Sometimes aggressive antivirus blocking issues might trouble you with the game running. Just follow the steps below to disable the antivirus protection.

Press the Win+I keys to open Windows Settings.
Click on Update & Security > Click on Windows Security from the left pane.

Please Note: If you’re using a third-party antivirus software then try disabling the real-time protection manually to fix the program blocking issues.

12. Turn Off Windows Firewall

It’s also worth recommending to disable Windows Firewall on the PC. Sometimes an aggressive Windows Firewall program can prevent ongoing connections to the game servers which can easily trigger multiple conflicts with the easy anti-cheat system. You should temporarily turn off Windows Firewall by following the steps below.

Click on the Start Menu > Type and search firewall.
Open Windows Defender Firewall from the search result.
Now, click Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off from the left pane.

Select the Turn Off Windows Defender Firewall (not recommended) option.
- Turn Off for all network settings.
Once done, click on OK to save changes.

13. Repair Easy Anti-Cheat

You should try repairing the EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat) system on your PC because a corrupted or missing EAC application file can prevent the game files from running properly. To do so:

Open the Steam client > Go to Library.
Right-click on LEGO Fortnite.
Click on the Local Files tab.
Select EasyAntiCheat > Right-click on the EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe file.
Click on Run as administrator > Hit Yes to confirm the UAC permission.
Next, click on Repair > Wait for the process to complete.
Once done, restart your PC to check for the issue.

14. Clean Reinstall of LEGO Fortnite

If none of the workarounds didn’t come in handy then make sure to perform a clean reinstallation of the LEGO Fortnite game on the PC by following the steps below. Any kind of temporary glitches or game installation issues might trigger several conflicts with the game startup. Just delete the existing game files and data then install the game again freshly.

Make sure to Uninstall Lego Fortnite from the Epic Games Launcher.
Now, Delete the following files/folders manually:

C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Fortnite

C:\Users%username%\AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher

Once removed, restart your PC to apply changes.
Finally, Reinstall Lego Fortnite via the Epic Games Launcher on a different drive.
