New updates are added on May 20, 2020: LG V35 ThinQ was slated to receive the Android 10 (LG UX 9.0) update in Q2 of 2020 and it seems like the company has stuck true to its words, as the AT&T variant of the LG V35 ThinQ is now picking up the Android 10 update via OTA. Though LG is not a name to reckon when it comes to rolling out timely updates, it has geared up and has rolled out the updates pretty speedily as far as Android 10 updates are concerned. The update is arriving with version number 30c. The update has been pushed via OTA and will take some time in hitting all the units. So, users are advised to keep a check on the Settings to see if the update is available for them or not.

New updates are added on May 18, 2020: It has been a while since the Korean OEM, LG started with the beat recruitment of the Android 10 (LG UX 9.0) update in South Korea. Users were eagerly waiting for the stable update to be pushed for the LG V50s ThinQ for quite some time now, as the official Android 10 update roadmap shared by LG stated that the device will pick up the Android 10 (LG UX 9.0) update somewhere in Q2 of 2020 and will be the first device to get so, among the others mentioned in the timeline. Cut to now, as per the official LG V50s ThinQ webpage, the Korean OEM is now rolling out the Android 10 update for the LG V50s ThinQ device.

Notably, the update has been pushed for all the carrier-locked variants along with the unlocked models in the region. And the update will be knocking the doors of the LG V50s ThinQ with version number 20e. The Android 10 update for the device will enable features like a pop-up window, new gesture style, new accessibility shortcut settings, hotkey settings have been changed, and much more. Here is what the complete changelog reads:

If you own the LG V50s ThinQ smartphone then, you can head over to the LG SmartWorld app, to check the instructions to update your phone with the latest Android 10 (LG UX 9.0) update. The update will also be pushed via OTA.

Back in the previous year, LG revealed the first look for the LG UX 9.0. For those who do not know or own an LG device, LG UX is the custom skin by LG which runs over Android OS on different LG smartphones. But, taking a cue from various reports, the LG UX 9.0 looks a tad similar to Samsung’s One UI. The fonts, icons and other design elements seem like they have been directly copied from Samsung’s One UI. In fact, if you own an LG V35 ThinQ or the LG V50S ThinQ then a new update roadmap has been revealed hinting the arrival of Android 10 (LG UX 9.0) update.

LG seems to have mended their previous mistakes and has added a lot of new functionalities and features for its devices with the new LG UX 9.0 based on Android 10. In fact, according to a new Android 10 update roadmap that was shared by LG Korea, the LG V35 ThinQ and V50S ThinQ are expected to get the update by Q2 2020. Notably, in the previous Android 10 update roadmap, both the legacy devices were missing from the list.
