Oppo will be breaking the numeric tradition of its ColorOS custom UI. With the latest Android 11, Oppo will be matching its ColorOS numeric with that of the numeric of the latest version of Android. Meaning that all the eligible phones will be picking up the Android 11 based ColorOS 11 update. Currently, most of the devices sit with ColorOS 7. The ColorOS 11 update brings tons of new features for the eligible phones. For instance, the Android 11 based ColorOS 11 will bring tons of UI customization that includes third party icons, customizable AOD, accent colors, three Dark Modes, namely Enhanced, Medium, and Gentle, etc.

Oppo A15

The Oppo A15 comes powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, which is coupled with 2/3 GB of RAM. The phone sports a 6.52-inch 720p display. The Oppo A15 runs on the Android 10 ColorOS 7.2 and is set to receive the Android 11 ColorOS 11 update. The phone offers 32GB of onboard storage.

Talking about the cameras, the phone rocks a triple camera setup 13MP primary lens, 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth lens. The phone is capable of recording 1080p@30fps. For selfies, there is a 5MP shooter. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the back of the phone and under the hood, the phone is juiced by a 4230 mAh battery that supports 10W charging.

Oppo A15S

The Oppo A15S is powered by the Snapdragon 460 chipset which is the latest mid-range chipset from Qualcomm. It sports a 6.5-inch 720p IPS panel and offers 128GB of onboard storage. The Oppo A15S comes in 4GB of RAM variant.

Updated on April 07, 2022: Oppo started seeding the latest security patch update for the device globally with software version CPH2179PU_11_A.39. The update is based on Android 11.

Updated on March 28, 2021: Oppo A15 and A15S started receiving Febraury 2021 security patch update via OTA with version CPH2185_11_A.21 and CPH2179_11_A.21.

Update 1 (December 4)

Surprisingly, the recently released Oppo A15 or the Oppo A15S has not been included in the list of Android 11 ColorOS 11 beta and stable rollout plans on Twitter.
