Fix Overheating Issue on Redmi Note 10 Pro

Usually, your phone overheating happens from a common cause. These include overuse, or remaining connected to a Bluetooth speaker for too long. Chances are that you might have closed a few apps or restarted your device in an attempt to troubleshoot. Maybe you’ve even Googled a few phrases based on error messages that you’ve seen.

Switch Display Refresh Rate

This is the first troubleshooting method you should try whenever you face any overheating issue with your Redmi Note 10 Pro. Switching from 120 Hz to 60 Hz will most probably help you to fix the overheating issue in your Redmi Note 10 Pro. Follow the below steps to change the display refresh rate:

Open the app drawer and then tap Settings.

Then tap on Display settings.

You will now see the options under the Refresh Rate section.

Force Stop Apps

You can do is to ensure that you close all active apps and those that run in the background. Sometimes, too many apps and services running together can overwhelm the system and cause random shutdowns or overheating.

Open the app drawer and then tap Settings.
Tap on Apps & Notification.
If you’re looking for a system or default app, tap on More settings at the upper right (three-dot icon).
Select Show system apps.
Find and tap the app you want to force stop.
Tap Force Stop.

Forced reboot

The other way of the reboot is as follows:

Install Latest Software Updates

Tap on MIUI Version.

Reset Your Device

Open the app drawer and then tap Settings.
Tap About Phone.
Now, tap on Factory Reset options
Tap Erase all data (factory reset).
Finally, tap on Factory Reset.
The device would restart automatically after performing the factory reset.

Hard Reset

First, power off your phone normally.
To turn it on, press and hold the Volume up + Power buttons simultaneously.
Don’t release them until you see the Xiaomi logo on the screen.
Tap on the Wipe data/Factory reset option.
Now tap on the Wipe data/Factory reset option to confirm your selection.
The phone will reset and on the new screen, use the Volume up button to scroll to the ‘Reboot system now.’ This will reboot your phone normally and that’s it!
