Sceptre Monitor No Signal Detected error

The No Signal Detected error on your Sceptre monitor, in most cases, is mainly a software problem. You might not have properly configured the display settings or the casting to the secondary device (Sceptre monitor) is not enabled on your PC. We can’t eliminate the possibility that there may be some damage in the HDMI cable or the monitor itself. Now that we have some understanding of the problem, let’s move on to the common troubleshooting steps that can help you fix the No Signal Detected error.

Sceptre Monitor No Signal Detected Error, How to Fix?

Many times, it’s a temporary bug or a software glitch that may have caused the problem. Fixing them can be as simple as restarting the device. In case this solution does not work for you, keep applying other fixes that we’ve mentioned below and see which one spells out success for you.

Fix 1: Reboot the Devices

Turn off your PC first and then the Sceptre monitor. To turn off the monitor, simply unplug the power cable from the source and leave it as it is for a minute. Now, plug the power cable back into the power outlet. After this, turn on the computer. Check if the problem is fixed.

Fix 2: Check if the Video Cable Is Connected Firmly

Sceptre monitors commonly have 4 different ports to connect the video cable: HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, and VGA. Identify the type of cord you have and fit it into the correct place on the PC and monitor. The ports can be found either in the middle or on the right-side of your monitor.

Make sure that the cable is connected firmly on both ends. A loose cable can cause many errors, such as screen flickering, no signal detected error, etc. After you’ve properly connected the video cable, check if the No Signal Detected error is fixed.

Fix 3: Check Display Settings

If you have not properly configured the display settings, it can lead to various issues. The monitor won’t show contents if the screen resolution is set to high than what your monitor can handle. To fix this, go to Settings -> System -> Display resolution and try a lower screen resolution.

Now, open the Settings app on your Windows PC. Go to System -> Display and make sure that you’ve selected the Extend these displays option. If the option is set to Show only on 1, there will be no content on the monitor. Hence, changing this option is a must.

Fix 4: Use a Different Cable or Port

We can’t eliminate the possibility of having a defective connecting cable or port. To make sure that it’s not the case with your monitor, use a different cable to connect your PC and the Sceptre monitor. If it does not work for you, we need to check if there is a problem with the port.

If you are using an HDMI cable, go get a DVI or VGA cable and connect both the devices. Turn on both the devices and check if the problem is fixed.
