Hogwarts Legacy is a unique school that encourages students to cultivate their talents and abilities. From magical spells to charms, every student is able to hone their skills and use their magical gifts to their advantage. With a variety of classes and activities, there is something for everyone to explore and excel in.

Depending on the type of talents and abilities that you pick you will be able to change your playstyle however you want. You can decide whether you want to use magic for stealth, or cast Unforgivable Curses. All of Hogwarts Legacy Talents are available to you on your quest to become the ultimate wizard or witch in Hogwarts.

As you progress through the game and level up, you will be able to collect Talent Points. You can spend these Hogwarts Legacy Talent Points and upgrade your character. There are five types of talents that you can hone your skills in. In this way, you will be able to learn more advanced magical techniques and use them in gameplay.

Here is the list of all five talent types that you will come across in the game, these are further divided into a varying number of talents and abilities in Hogwarts Legacy. Note that each group of Talents has three level requirements: Level 5, Level 16, and Level 22.

Spell Talents

Spell Talents are for improving your character’s spells and attack power. If you are planning to involve yourself in a lot of combat in Hogwarts, these Talents will serve you well. There are a total of ten Spell Talents, which are as follows.

  • Diffindo Mastery: With the Diffindo spell, you can slice through enemies. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Incendio Mastery: With the Incendio spell, you can cast a ring of fire at the player’s feet. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Depulso Mastery: The Depulso spell will release an additional blast around you. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Confringo Mastery: The Confringo spell will produce bolts that seek enemies. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Accio Mastery: You can pull enemies near a target that you summon using the Accio spell. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Levioso Mastery: You can affect enemies near a target that you use the Levioso spell on. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Bombarda Mastery: The Bombarda spell will cause a massive explosion on impact. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 16.

Core Talents

These Talents are for improving your character’s overall stats like health and mobility. There are 16 Core Talents.

  • Basic Cast Mastery: Basic casts reduce spell cooldown. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Protego Absorption: Successful Protego blocks will increase the Ancient Magic meter. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Swift: Holding down Dodge will allow you to vanish and reappear quickly. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Spell Knowledge 1: Adds an additional spell set that you can switch to. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Spell Knowledge 2: Adds an additional spell set that you can switch to. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Wiggenweld Potency 1: Wiggenweld Potions will heal you and your allies to a greater effect. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Ancient Magic Throw Expertise: You can catch and throw any disarmed weapons of your enemies or allies. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Basic Cast Airborne Absorption: This will contribute more to the Ancient Magic meter. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 16.
  • Protego Expertise: If you block a spell with Perfect Protego, it will send two projectiles back. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 16.
  • Evasion Absorption: Successfully evading an unblockable attack contributes. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 16.
  • Stupefy Mastery: When you strike enemies with Stuepfy, they will remain stunned for longer. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 16.
  • Wiggenweld Mastery 2: Increase the amount of healing for Wiggenweld. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 16.
  • Revelio Mastery: Increases the range of Revelio. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 16.
  • Spell Knowledge 3: Adds an additional spell set that you can switch to. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 16.
  • Protego Mastery: With a Perfect Protego spell, you can release a blast that breaks enemy shields. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 22.
  • Stupefy Expertise: Stupefy deals damage on impact. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 22.

Stealth Talents

Stealth Talents are for improving abilities that aid you in hiding and moving unnoticed. This is the smallest Talent group, but they are very useful. You will be able to stay out of sight and avoid detection with these Talents. There are a total of four Stealth Talents, which are as follows:

  • Human Demiguise: Allows you to sprint when using Disillusionment. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Sense of Secrecy 1: Enemies’ ability to detect you is reduced. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Sense of Secrecy 2: Enemies’ ability to detect you is reduced. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 16.
  • Petrificus Totalus Mastery: With the Petrificus Totalus spell, you can cause an area of effect that impact nearby enemies. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 22.

Dark Arts Talents

If you want to improve the use of the Dark Arts and curses, you will need to work on your Dark Arts Talents. These will increase your skill with Unforgivable Curses, or turn regular spells into curses. There are a total of ten Dark Arts Talents, which are as follows.

  • Disarming Curse: You can curse enemies with the Expelliarmus spell. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Knockback Curse: You can curse enemies with the Flipendo spell. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Blood Curse: When you inflict damage on cursed targets, it will deal damage to all cursed enemies. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Stunning Curse: The Stupefy spell will curse enemies. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Crucio Mastery: You can strike an enemy with Crucio. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 16.
  • Imperio Mastery: When you curse an enemy with Imperio, it will curse other targets with every strike. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 16.
  • Slowing Curse: The Arresto Momentum spell will curse enemies on impact. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 16.
  • Enduring Curse: Increase the Cursed effect time for enemies. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 16.
  • Avada Kedavra Mastery: Killing an enemy with Avada Kedavra will slay all cursed enemies. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 22.
  • Curse Sapper: Defeating cursed enemies will restore some health. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 22.

Room of Requirement Talents

Once you unlock the Room of Requirement, you will be able to improve using it with these Talents. If you spend a lot of time in this room, these Talents will come in handy. There are a total of eight Room of Requirement Talents, which are as follows.

  • Invisibility Potion Potency: Makes the Invisibility Potion effect last longer. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Fertiliser: You will be able to throw a second Chinese Chomping Cabbage for each throw at no cost. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Edurus Potion Potency: Make you invulnerable and deflect enemies’ projectiles back at them when you drink the potion. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 5.
  • Maxima Potion Potency: Any type of offensive attacks inflict additional damage and break enemy shields. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 16.
  • Headache: Increase in the damage and duration of the Mandrake effect. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 16.
  • Focus Potion Potency: Increases the duration of Focus Potion’s effect when using any spell from a Spell Set. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 22.
  • Noxious: Venomous Tentacular will deal additional damage and break shields. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 22.
  • Thunderbrew Potency: Increases the range and damage of the Thunderbrew potion effect. You will be able to unlock this Talent at Level 22.
