Oppo recently announced its new smartphone to market in the budget segment. Oppo is targeting brands like Infinix, Honor, etc in the budget segment with the Oppo A12. It includes a bunch of excellent features like octa-core Helio P-series SoC, dual-camera setup, water-drop notch, 4,230mAh battery, and fingerprint sensor.
These days Android device users are prone to gain full control over the device subsystem to customize look & performance. If you’re one of the Oppo A12 users then you may be wondering whether you can unlock the bootloader, root, or install the custom ROM on Oppo A12.
Well, due to the open-source nature of Android OS, and its wide range of customizability options, it’ll quite easy for both developers & advanced users to unlock the device bootloader, flash custom recovery, flash custom firmware apart from rooting or flashing modules, etc. There are plenty of tools available in the market for MTK devices that can also do the job for you but there are specific limitations too.
Oppo A12 Device Overview:
The device features a 6.2-inch color IPS LCD screen with a waterdrop notch. This multi-touch panel features a resolution of 720x1520pixels which amounts to 270PPI pixel density on a 19:9 aspect ratio panel. The screen features a decent size but with the given PPI, you cannot expect visuals to be that sharp or clear.
Hi, thank you for writing this article. Are there any updates on this? Are there any FOSS custom ROMs available for Oppo A12 now?
