Android OS offers far greater customizability and functionalities than Apple’s iOS platforms. It has a tonne of features of which many are hidden and would require some level of tinkering to uncover it and anywhere between basic to proficient knowledge of the Android operating system to see how it works. What is Developer Options?
Developer Options, as it goes with the moniker, denotes features that are available for developers only. Although Android OS offers ease to enable these options, it is hidden and requires a procedure (that I have listed below) to enable the same.
Developer Options enable a string of features including debugging, networking, media, monitoring, hardware-accelerated rendering, applications, input, and others. This is what developers use to test their applications on a smartphone. However, various options in the Developer Options feature offer functionality to force hardware rendering, enable USB debugging to connect and share content with a computer, and other settings.
One of the many features included in Developer Options is the “USB Debugging” that you can navigate to directly by clicking here or read along to know what it is and what it can do.
