Vivo Android 9.0 Pie Update [Complete Tracker and Timeline]

Google has officially rolled out the Android 9.0 Pie and on the same day of its release, the update was pushed for all Google Pixels and Essential Phone. Google will send out updates to all OEMs who signed up for Android Beta Program which includes Vivo X21 followed by public release for all other smartphone brands and models. The timeline is a constraint since there are millions of users who haven’t received Android 8.0 Oreo today even after their smartphones are eligible to receive it. But Vivo is talking differently about rolling out Android 9.0 Pie update where it has mentioned that all the eligible devices will get the update as soon as by the end of this year which is comparatively faster than many other brands.

Vivo Android 9.0 Pie Update [Complete Tracker and Timeline]

Google teased about Android 9.0 Pie this year in March (it does release a new version every year). Since then, users and developers have seen five developer previews or beta versions which are used to detect and eliminate bugs in an operating system which is still under development before a stable version could be launched. After launching the first beta update and then, increment updates, Android 9.0 Pie stable version is finally available and Vivo will be joining the Android Pie family by the end of 2018 where some of its eligible devices will receive the update but other models aren’t that fortunate. The OS has machine-learning capabilities where its AI analyzes the pattern of usage of any and every app or service and predicts or suggest actions accordingly.

Android P

The battery is undoubtedly the most crucial aspect nowadays and if you don’t have a bigger capacity, at least it must be optimized well to stay active for a longer duration. With adaptive battery feature, it keeps a tab on battery usage and takes pertaining measures to limit, crucial battery usage and optimize it automatically without any human interaction. You have already seen how gesture-based navigation works on Apple iPhone X in its tonnes of videos available online. Similarly, you can perform the same functions on your Android smartphone with gesture-based navigation where it uses a simple gesture to backtrack, check recent and more.

Google is trying to roll out the Android Pie update to as many eligible devices as possible. Originally, the timeline varies a lot due to the progression of updates where Google releases the update to OEMs which tweaks the update as per their policies and then, carriers include some of their features before it could reach to the smartphones. Other features include smart replies, app timers, digital wellbeing, encrypted backups, app slices, and more.
