Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro MIUI 11 Beta Update: Mi 10 Beta Goes Live!

A few days ago, Xiaomi unveiled its two new smartphones, called the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro in their home country of China. Both the smartphones were expected to be launched at the MWC 2020 later this month in Barcelona, but due to the Coronavirus outbreak, Xiaomi pulled back from the event. And if you were early to grab Mi 10 or the Mi 10 Pro then, there is some good news waiting for you. Xiaomi has made the MIUI 11 Beta program live for both the device starting from February 17, 2020. Notably, this beta program is live for users in China only as of now.

To recall, both the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro packs in the massive 108MP camera with an aperture of f/1.7 on the rear, a 6.67 inch AMOLED display, 90 Hz refresh rate, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processors. The Mi 10 Pro is the more impressive variant as it packs in two telephoto lenses with 2x and 5x zooming capabilities, and 50W fast charging support. However, the battery is a bit less i.e 4500 mAh compared to the 4780 mAh battery on the Mi 10 (Supports 30W charging).

Users of the Mi 10 can join this beta program for the MIUI 11 update starting from February 17, 2020 while the users of the Mi 10 Pro need to wait a bit. They can join this program from February 24. However, Xiaomi has not revealed the reason behind keeping the update rollout dates a week apart for both the devices.

Moreover, with the help of this program, even before the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro settles in the smartphone market, users will get the chance to experience the latest MIUI 11 custom UI from Xiaomi on their devices. This is actually a great move as both the devices are coming with flagship specs and user expects such treatment for flagship devices. But, keep in mind that the update will be in beta so there will be a lot of bugs and issues which will only be rectified in the future via the stable updates.
