Today Xiaomi has confirmed to push the Android 11 beta update very soon for the Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K30S Ultra, Mi CC9, Mi CC9 Meitu Edition, Mi 9SE, Mi 9, and Mi 9 Pro 5G.
Updated on December 08, 2020: In the recent community post, one of the team members said that the Android 11 is not coming to Redmi Note 8 series which is a surprise move. We all knew, Xiaomi always keeps updating their device to their latest version of MIUI. The company promised to deliver 2 major OS updates to its devices in the past. Updated on December 02, 2020: Today Xiaomi rolled MIUI 18.104.22.168 update for the Redmi Note 8 Pro in Indonesia which brings November 2020 security patch. The update is labeled with version V22.214.171.124.QGGIDXM

Android 11 for Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro was unveiled with Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box and was later upgraded to Android 10 based MIUI 11. Since Xiaomi rolls out two major OS upgrades to Note series, Redmi Note 8 Pro will get its second & last upgrade to Android 11 although we aren’t aware of the exact date as of now. Updated on December 19, 2020: Xiaomi started seeding November 2020 security patch to Redmi Note 8 Pro in Europe with build number V126.96.36.199.QGGEUXM based on Android 10.
Update as of November 09: Today we have shared the AOSP Android 11 for the Redmi Note 8 Pro which is stable enough to use it as a daily driver.
Update as of November 23: When it comes to Android 11, Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 doesn’t have any luck for now. However, a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 is being tested with Android 11 as per a credible Telegram channel named Xiaomi & MIUI News. Apparently, the Redmi Note 8 was earlier less likely to get the upgrade but it seems that Xiaomi has changed its update policy with the Android 11 on Redmi Note 8. [Source]
