Twitch users can enable two-factor authentication with their accounts, and almost everybody now understands the importance of such a security feature. But recently, some users have pointed out that the two-factor authentication of Twitch is not working on their accounts. Most users are complaining that they are not getting the code at all.
With the two-factor authentication enabled, it is nearly impossible to get into your account without the code you would get on your number. However, there is a way around it, and if your account was set up properly with your authentic phone number, you should be able to get back to your account. So without any further ado, let’s get into it.
How to Fix Two-Factor Authentication Twitch Not Working?
One thing to know for every twitch user is that Authy handles all 2FA on the accounts on Twitch. Yes, Authy is a third-party service that most users might not have on their devices. Still, even if you create two-factor authentication on Twitch via your phone number, that automatically creates an account for you on Authy on that number, so even if you are not getting an SMS on your phone number, you can use Authy’s unique access code to gain access to your Twitch account.
Use the Authy app:
This step is fairly simple. All you need to do is install the Authy application on your phone. Once you have it, open it and enter your phone number. The twitch account registered with that phone number will match, and a token will appear on your Authy application. Now all you need to do is tap on that token and you will see the security code on your screen.
