Updated on June 24, 2020: Today Asus rolled May security patch for Asus Zenfone 5 with software version v17.0615.2005.25 globally. The update also brings stable Android 10, improved system stability, fixed sound issue, and added video stabilization to the camera app.
Updated on May 08, 2020: Today Asus rolled a new software update with version 17.0615.2003.22 for Asus Zenfone 5. With this update, the company has fixed the issue where the microphone is not working while ‘OK Google’ is active, fixed camera bug, and even screen could unintentionally turn on.
Today Asus made a surprising entry by rolling Android 10 beta updates to their Asus Zenfone 5 (ZE620KL). Well, the device gets the software version 17.0615.2003.20 with vanilla Android OS, latest Android security patch, Dark Theme support, and many more. If you have not received this major update, then you can manually install the Asus Zenfone 5 to the Android 10 update.
With Android 10 OS, it brings plenty of new features to the device system like system UI, new gesture navigation, improved privacy and location control, enhanced app permissions, foldable display support, security features, system-wide dark mode, improved call quality, bubble feature, live caption, etc. While the latest version also improves battery life, Focus mode which is similar to the Do Not Disturb mode, etc. Apart from that Android 10 also features 65 new emojis. It also comes with direct audio streaming support to hearing aid devices. Along with the Android 10 feature, this version also bumped the security patch to December 2019.
