About SID and Car Theft
In Cyberpunk 2077, almost all the electronic devices are protected with security software, called SID. The access to laptops, phones, cars, hotel rooms, doors, smart guns, and many more are being secured with the security system: Subcutaneous Identification Device. The SID is a smart chip technology comprising of a small circuit board. A SID chip is mounted on each person. It is implanted in the thumb bone of the dominant hand.

However, in spite of this tough SID chip (also called Seed), you can hack a car. Only those who have access to a personal link can do this. For hacking a car you need a specialized illegal hacking program.
