It’s also worth mentioning that the crossplay feature isn’t available yet in Dying Light 2 Stay Human. That means currently the Dying Light 2 game only supports co-op sessions between the same platform respectively and it may trigger multiple issues with connecting to the game servers. Luckily, there are a couple of possible workarounds available below that should gonna help you out. So, without wasting any more time, let’s jump into it.

1. Check your Internet Connection

Make sure to check out your internet connection properly by switching to the Wi-Fi or Wired (Ethernet) connection one by one. Sometimes poor or unstable internet connectivity can cause several issues with the gameplay.

2. Reboot the Game

Restart your game to check for the issue as the problem might be appearing due to the temporary glitch or cache data issue in the game. So, it’s recommended to restart the game completely after exiting it.

3. Check Server Status

You should also check out the server status of the Dying Light 2 game to ensure there is no connectivity issue with the game due to the server downtime or outage. To do so, just visit the Dying Light 2 Twitter handle for further assistance. Meanwhile, you can also check out this tweet where Techland has mentioned that they’re working on it.

  • Finally, reboot your PC to apply changes, and then try launching the game again.

6. Ensure to Set a Point to Join Co-op

After the player gets the binoculars, it’s recommended to set a point when co-op can actually be joined. In this process, you as a host may find lesser difficulties while inviting players in co-op.

7. Try Inviting Friends Directly

First of all, you should keep in mind that inviting friends directly on the same platform is required no matter which platform you’re using. This game isn’t currently supported by the cross-play feature. First of all, make sure you’ve downloaded the latest update for Dying Light 2 which may fix bugs or unwanted issues with the gameplay.

Next, you should have to finish the prologue at least. Once all is done, you can turn on the multiplayer mode manually. To do this, enter the Pause Menu > Select Online Menu > Select Online Options > The Game Type will be set to Single Player.

You can change it to a variety of options such as Public, Private, or Friends Only which will depend on your preferences. You can also enable or disable the in-game voice chat option. Going back to the Online Menu will give you more options. Highlighting your character and pressing the confirm option will bring up a console menu by which you can invite people from your friends’ list.

However, if you want to play with an unknown player in the co-op session then you can select Find Games > Select the player id from the lobby list and choose for the same.

8. Power Cycle your Router

You should also try performing the power cycle on your Wi-Fi router to check for the issue whether it’s going through any issues or not. Make sure to turn off the router and unplug the power cable from it > Now, you’ll have to wait for around 30 seconds then plug back the power cable in > Turn on the router and check for the issue again.
