1. Restart the Game

Verifying and repairing the game files automatically using the game client is also recommended. It’ll ensure to repair of the corrupted or missing game files on the PC.

For Steam:

  • Open up Steam > Go to Library.
  • Right-click on the EA Sports FC 24 game.
  • Click on Properties > Go to the Local Files tab.
  • Select Verify Integrity of Game Files…

  • Open the Start menu > Search and open Control Panel.
  • Go to Systems and Security > Open Windows Firewall.
  • Select Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall.
  • Now, click on Change settings > Select Allow another app.

  • Open File Explorer > Navigate to Local Disk C:\Documents.
  • Go to the FC 24 folder > Right-click on the Settings folder.
  • Now, select Delete from the context menu to remove it.
  • Once done, launch the game and check for the issue again.

10. Ensure Windows Username Doesn’t Include Special Characters

It’s also worth mentioning that no special character is present in the Windows username to avoid personal settings saving issues with the game. To do so:

  • Open File Explorer > Go to the Local Disk C:\Users\Username.
    • For instance, the username should be without special characters.
  • If a percentage or hash character is present, just create a new user account with admin access.
  • Once done, restart the PC to apply changes.
  • Ensure to delete the problematic user account after that.
