Luckily, here we’ve shared with you a couple of potential workarounds that should come in handy. Make sure to follow all troubleshooting methods until the problem has been fixed. So, without further ado, let’s jump into it.

1. Restart the Game

First, you can try closing and relaunching the EA Sports FC 24 game on the PC to clear temporary glitches or cache data issues. Multiple reports did come that a normal reboot of the game has come in handy.

2. Run EA Sports FC 24 as an Administrator

  • You should also Turn ON the Enable background services toggle to keep things going smoothly.
  • Once done, restart the EA Desktop client again to apply changes immediately.

4. Verify and Repair the Game Files

Verifying and repairing the game files automatically using the game client is also recommended. It’ll ensure to repair of the corrupted or missing game files on the PC.

For Steam:

  • Open up Steam > Go to Library.
  • Right-click on the EA Sports FC 24 game.
  • Click on Properties > Go to the Local Files tab.
  • Select Verify Integrity of Game Files… 
  • This process will start and try repairing game files.
  • Let the process be completed. Once done, close the Steam client.
  • Restart your computer to apply changes.

For Epic Games Launcher:

5. Whitelist EA Sports FC 24 in Windows Firewall

It’s also worth recommending whitelisting the EA Sports FC 24 game application in Windows Defender Firewall manually by following the steps below to ensure there is no issue with the game’s functionality or in-game activities.

  • Open the Start menu > Search and open Control Panel.
  • Go to Systems and Security > Open Windows Firewall.
  • Select Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall.
  • Now, click on Change settings > Select Allow another app.
  • Select Browse > Click to select EA Sports FC 24 exe from the installation directory.
  • Click on Add to include in the list and click on OK to save changes.
  • Finally, reboot the PC, and check for the EA Sports FC 24 Unable to Save Personal Settings issue again.

6. Allow EA Sports FC 24 in Antivirus

9. Delete FC 24 Settings Folder in Documents

Some reports do claim that deleting the FC 24 settings folder from the C:\Documents directory has done the trick. You can also try this method to troubleshoot the problem easily. After deleting, just launch the game, and it’ll automatically create a new settings folder in the directory.

  • Open File Explorer > Navigate to Local Disk C:\Documents.
  • Go to the FC 24 folder > Right-click on the Settings folder.
  • Now, select Delete from the context menu to remove it.
  • Once done, launch the game and check for the issue again.

10. Ensure Windows Username Doesn’t Include Special Characters

It’s also worth mentioning that no special character is present in the Windows username to avoid personal settings saving issues with the game. To do so:

  • Open File Explorer > Go to the Local Disk C:\Users\Username.
    • For instance, the username should be without special characters.
  • If a percentage or hash character is present, just create a new user account with admin access.
  • Once done, restart the PC to apply changes.
  • Ensure to delete the problematic user account after that.
