The new Isle of Armor DLC is out now for Pokemon Sword And Shield. And we will see how one can find and evolve a Porygon in Sword & Shield Isle of Armor. The Porygon has a pink and blue colorway and can be easily found in the Isle of Armor. In this article, we will tell you how you can get a Porygon for yourself and then how you can evolve it into a Porygon-Z.
First, you need to complete the Isle of Armor story and upgrade your Kubfu into Urshifu. After completing the story, go to the Dojo, and you will see a Porygon there. Get close to it and interact with it. Then Hyde will give the Porygon to you. So getting a Porygon is relatively easy here, but how do you evolve it? That is a bit tricky, and you will need a few things to do that. First, this is a trade evolution, so you will need a friend who is also probably looking to upgrade a Porygon. Then you will also need an upgrade and a Dubious Disc. So let’s see how exactly does this process work.
How to evolve Porygon in Pokemon Sword & Shield: Isle of Armor?
First, you need to find an upgrade. It is a small transparent device filled with all sorts of data. To get one, go to the Training lowlands and walk past the Grassy area on the left. There you will find an upgrade device. Collect it from there. Next is the Dubious Disc. For that, fly to the train station area and go towards the water. You will see a Wailord here. Behind that, Wailord is a small island, and that is where you will find your Disc.
Once you have both the Upgrade and the Disc, you need to find a friend who is also looking to upgrade his Porygon. As mentioned above, this is a trading evolution, so having a friend here is crucial to the Upgrade. But before trading Pokemon with your friend, first open your Pokemon menu in the game, go to Porygon and choose Held item. Here give the upgrade device to the Porygon.
Now trade over your Porygon holding an upgrade to your friend, and your friend will also send over his Porygon with an upgrade. When you receive it, it will be a Porygon2. Then do the same thing as you did with the Upgrade, that is, hand over the Dubious Disc to the Porygon2 by going into your Pokemon Menu and send it over to your friend again. Ask your friend to do the same with the Porygon2 that he received from you. Both of you will end up exchanging Porygons back, but this time both of you will have a Porygon-Z each.
Then you will see a message on your screen saying that your Porygon2 is now a Porygon-Z. So that is how you quickly evolve your Porygon into Porygon-Z.
