Fire Emblem Engage is a new tactical RPG released on 20th January for the Nintendo Switch. The gameplay is similar to its previous instalment Fire Emblem: Three Houses and players will need to defeat the Fell Dragon. Developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo, the game is set on the continent of Elyos, where players can summon familiar characters with Emblem Rings. This allows the players to fight alongside the previous Fire Emblem lords. As you will learn, the protagonist Alear is also a divine dragon who will be gathering these Rings and battling monsters. As it is a tactical RPG, you will need to learn how to train your units in Fire Emblem Engage. These characters can be unlocked by progressing through the story. You will be able to promote them by leveling them up, and making them more powerful. If you want to speed up the process for a particular character, you can play individual training battles.
You will be able to unlock Training Battles in Fire Emblem Engage once you have completed Chapter 5 “Retaking the Castle”. They will help you gain extra XP and SP, and are similar to Skirmishes. In order to start a Training Battle, you will need to make your way to Somniel.
