If your monitor is still not turning on, try the next solution.
Check Power Supplies:
Ensure all your power supplies are working. If the voltage of your household has gone down, your monitor might not be getting the wattage it requires to turn on. It could also be a fuse issue. Check the other appliances in your house that require a high amount of power and verify whether they are working fine or not. If they are also behaving abnormally, the problem is with the power supply. You need to call home an electrician and check everything in your house.
You can also call the local authorities responsible for providing electricity and ask whether there is an issue with the current supply.
If everything is working well in terms of power supply, but you are still witnessing the issue, try the next solution.
Check the Wall Switch:
Over time, the contacts in a wall switch might get dusty or rusted. Again, the plastic or metal parts inside the wall switch may become loose and allow it to move around. This can prevent the power socket from making a good connection with the contact points on your Sceptre’s power cable. To fix this, you need first to check your switch. Firstly, remove the faceplate from the wall switch. Then clean any debris or dust that you see using a piece of cloth. You need to turn off the power supply before trying all of it, and a simple mistake can get you electrocuted. After cleaning and tightening everything inside the wall switch, put the faceplate back and turn the power on.
If your monitor is still not turning on, try the next solution.
Inspect The Display Cables:
The cable you are using to connect your monitor to your PC needs to be in working condition. Ensure that the cable fits well at both ends with no gap between the port and the cable. Even the smallest gap can cause the monitor not to turn on.
You also need to check the cable for any visible damage. If there is any tear in the cable or any part of it looks burnt, you need to change it. You can find such a cable in any electrical store near your house.
If the monitor turns on after changing the display cable, you have your solution. The display cable was indeed the culprit. But if the monitor does not turn on even after changing the cable, try the next solution.
Test the power cord:
Take out the power cord connecting the monitor and the power socket. Now plug that cable into another TV or monitor. If it works well with the other devices, move on to the final solution. But if it does not work with the other device, you have your answer. The power cable is the culprit. Like the display cable, you can find a new power cable in any electrical store near your house. Trying out the new cable should solve the problem for you.
If none of the solutions mentioned above worked for you, the problem is with your monitor’s hardware. In that case, you need to contact Sceptre support. You can find information on contacting them right on their website. You can also visit the nearest Sceptre service center and try to get the device fixed. If it is under warranty, you may even get it replaced by them.
