Before trying these steps, it is recommended to run a speed test on your device to determine the current net speed and compare later on. These steps are very simple to follow, and if you do not see any potential change, please repeat these steps again.
Here’s all you have to do:
- Go to the AppStore and search for Speedtest by Ookla
- Download it
- Run it
The Speedtest app will find the download rate and upload rate of your network connection. Please note that these values can only be viewed as a benchmark, as the exact figures may have a slight variation.
Let’s get into how to change the settings on your iPhone to get zero ping in Fortnite Mobile.
Here’s all you have to do:
- Click on Settings
- Select Wifi
- Hit the (i) icon next to the Wifi name
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Configure DNS
- Change DNS name from Automatic to Manual.
- Delete the current server name
- Add a new server (Cloudfare DNS) with 1.1.1. 1 along with a backup server with 1.0.0.1
- In case it is not fast enough. Repeat step 6 and add server (Google) with 8.8.8. 8 along with a backup server with 8.8.4.4
- Select Save
- Run Speetest by Ookla app and check for the changes

- Select Network and Internet
- Click on the Wifi name.
- Long press on the connection that appears until a pop up appears
- Select Modify network
- Select Advanced Options from the screen
- Scroll to the IP settings section and select DHCP
- Change it to Static
- Edit the current (Google DNS) with 1.1.1. 1 along with DNS 2 with 1.0.0.1
- Select Save
- Run Speetest by Ookla app and check for the changes
In case this causes connection errors, repeat step 6, and change the DHCP from Static to Automatic. Try repeating the settings changes at least once to confirm.
