Pre-Requisites:
- Before upgrading your iPad to iOS 13.4, make sure to take iPadOS backup via iCloud or iTunes.
- Your iPad must have at least 50% or more battery charge. If not, first charge your device and then come back to upgrade.
- You must download the official beta profile to upgrade your iPadOS to the latest available beta update.
- If you don’t have the developer account, you can download beta profile from here for free.
Method 1: How to install iPadOS 13.4 Beta 1 with Developer Account
Before we head-on with the procedure, note that you need to ensure that you have macOS Catalina installed on your Mac devices. With that being said, let us understand how to download the iPadOS 13.4 Beta 1 on iPad:
- Go to Apple Developers Page.
- Click on the Discover Tab.
- Now click on any of the operating system buttons.
- Tap on Download.
- You will be asked to log in using your developer’s username or password.
- Head to the iPadOS 13 beta section and tap the download.
- Click Close.
- Now open Settings.
- Tap on Profile Download.
- Tap on Install. (You may need to enter your Passcode)
- Press restart and that’s it!
Method 2: How to install iPadOS 13.4 Beta 1 using iTunes
- Go to Apple Developers Page.
- Click on the Discover Tab.
- Now click on any of the operating system buttons.
- Tap on Download.
- You will be asked to log in using your developer’s username or password.
- Head to the iPadOS beta section and download Restore Images.
- Click on the iPadOS restore image that matches your device.
- Now click on the Applications button at the top of the list of beta software.
- Click the Download button next to Xcode 11.
- Then, open iTunes on your Mac.
- Connect your iPhone to your Mac using the lightning cable.
- Click the iPad icon that appears in iTunes.
- While holding down the Option key on your Mac’s keyboard, click Check for Update.
- You need to tap on Downloads in the sidebar.
- Click on the iPadOS restore image.
- Now finally click Open.
Method 3: How to install iPadOS 13.4 Beta 1 without Developer Account
- Firstly, you need to download the beta profile from this link.
- Head over to the Settings.
- There will be a new Profile Downloaded menu right below your iCloud name.
- Click on Install and then you need to enter the password.
- Tap on Install and you need to tap on Install again.
- Once your iPad restarts, head over to Settings → General → Software Update.
- Here you will notice the iPadOS 13.4 beta 1 update, simply tap Download and Install to get started.
