Samsung is focusing on their budget-friendly smartphone range. Recently Samsung has announced its latest model Samsung Galaxy On8 which comes with a beautiful infinity display. Since the demand for infinity screen devices or we can say bezel-less screen smartphones in increasing, Its good to know that Samsung is providing budget solutions for that. The new Samsung Galaxy On8 device is set to be sold with a price tag of 16,990 INR only. This is a great price point with all the specifications. However, customers want to know whether this device will be able to work underwater. So to test this, we are going to perform a Samsung Galaxy On8 waterproof test. Is Samsung Galaxy On8 Waterproof Device?

Before proceeding with the Samsung Galaxy On8 Waterproof test, let’s discuss some of its specifications. Galaxy On8 comes with latest Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. its a dual sim smartphone with a 6-inch infinity display. The display comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio with 720 by 1480 pixels. It comes with a powerful octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. Talking about the camera department it comes with dual camera setup of 16MP + 5MP camera sensors. Samsung Galaxy On8 supports multiple camera features including Background Blur Shape, Portrait Dolly, and Portrait Backdrop features.

In Splash proof test, we will test the device to withstand an accidental water splash to see whether the device survives in such condition. Since there is no official information on IP68 ratings about Samsung Galaxy On8 device, so it might not pass our splashproof test.

When we put some artificial water splash over Galaxy On8 device, we did not see any kind of complexion at all. The device seems to work fine under water. However, the touchscreen becomes unresponsive. But it becomes operational after wiping it off with a microfiber cloth.
