Oppo A53s Device Overview
The Oppo A53s features a 6.5 inch 90Hz IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The only significant spec in the display is the high refresh rate. Besides that, the display specifications seem very ordinary. For processing power, we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 420, which is an entry-level processor from Qualcomm that is built on an 11nm manufacturing process. It is an octa-core processor with four Kryo 240 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and four Kryo 240 cores clocked at 1.6 GHz. The GPU here is the Adreno 610, which will only be able to handle less graphics-intensive tasks. The smartphone runs on Android 10 out of the box with Oppo’s ColorOS 7.2 skinned on top of it.
This budget smartphone from Oppo comes with a triple camera setup at the rear. It features a 13MP primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, a 2MP macro sensor paired with an f/2.4 lens, and a 2MP depth sensor paired with an f/2.4 lens. Coming to the front, we get the front camera in a hole punch at the top left corner of the screen. It is an 8MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens. The smartphone is only limited to 1080p video recording both for the front and back cameras due to the low processing power.
For connectivity, we have Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C 2.0. And for sensors we have a rear-mounted fingerprint, accelerometer, proximity, and compass. There is only a single RAM and storage variant of the smartphone with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable via a MicroSD card. Powering all of this is a 5,000 mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging. The Oppo A53s is available in two color variants: Electric Black and Fancy Blue.
