How to Fix Qualcomm QCZ9565 Bluetooth 4.0 Driver Problem

When the Bluetooth driver has not got the fresh update or has any other technical snags, then it affects the working of Bluetooth on your computer. Windows PC uses the Qualcomm Atheros driver. If the driver gets corrupt for some reason, then it may not connect to Bluetooth devices. When you would try to connect your headphone or other gadgets, then you will face the Qualcomm QCZ9565 Bluetooth 4.0 Driver Error.

First, try disabling the firewall. You may also disengage your anti-virus till you can establish the Bluetooth connection with your desired gadget.

Disable Windows Firewall

Here is how to do this

  • Press Windows key + I to go to Settings
  • Then click Update & Security

  • On the left-hand panel in the next screen click on Windows Security

  • Then click Public Network which is probably your Internet/WiFi connection

  • You should see that the Microsoft Windows Firewall is active and is marked as On.
  • Click on the toggle to turn it Off.

On the other hand, if you have any 3rd-party Anti-virus system defending your Windows PC, then you have to disable it as well.

  • On the system tray, click to expand and see the Anti-virus icon
  • Right-click on it > click Disable Temporarily (the exact term may be different depending upon your anti-virus)

Rollback Bluetooth Driver Update

In this troubleshooting, you have to roll back the current firmware version of the Qualcomm Atheros driver installed on your PC.

  • In the Type Here to Search Box type device manager
  • Click Open in the matching result that shows up
  • Then click under Bluetooth to expand and you will see a lot of drivers and services show up in the list
  • Scroll down and look for Qualcomm Atheros QCZ9565 Bluetooth on the list.
  • Right-click on it > click Properties in the mini menu that shows up
  • Then in the dialog box that opens navigate to Driver

  • Under that, you will see an option on the left side that says Roll back driver. Click on it

If that option is greyed out means you cannot roll back right-way. To fix that, you have to contact your laptop maker’s support team and ask them to provide you with a link to download the fresh firmware version of the Qualcomm Atheros QCZ9565 Bluetooth driver. Then follow that link and manually install/update the driver.

Uninstall the Qualcomm QCZ9565 Bluetooth Driver

Another fix is to uninstall the Qualcomm Bluetooth driver that is showing an error. Then the system will reinstall the latest version of the driver once you reboot your PC and connect to the internet.
