Updated on Aug 26, 2020: Realme has just announced the all-new Deep Cleanup feature that will be added soon to all the Realme devices running on Realme UI 1.0 (Android 10). It will simply dismiss all the background running tasks to improve the CPU/RAM usage and also improves battery life.
This feature will be found in the “Process Manager” option under the ‘Additional Settings’. Simply tap on the ‘Deep Cleanup’ option and then choose “End all processes?” to increase the battery juice that will extend it more than a day easily.
Updated on April 24, 2020: Realme is also expected to release a new Solar system imitated charging animation in the Realme UI. Just like the other smartphone OEMs Realme is also trying to implement some of the unique or specific key features or visual improvements to its devices as the Realme UI is an individual skin for the Realme devices.
The upcoming charging animation will be like the Solar system and will be available in three modes or colors. According to the Realme Community article, these three charging animations will indicate the user about the battery charging status. So, let’s take a quick look at what are these three modes.
- First, the charging of the Realme device at 10W – 18W will have a blue planet as the core of the constellation. The blue planet represents one and only living planet ‘the Earth’.
- While charging at 20W – 30W, the animation changes to yellow with more satellites that will spin around it. This new constellation is directly inspired by the Jovian System and its powerful dynamics.
- Lastly, the charging animation at 50W – 65W embodies the spectacular energy and technological possibilities of the Solar System that becomes orange.
This upcoming charging animation will be available via the Realme UI software update in the future to all the eligible Realme devices. It’s also worth mentioning that the particular feature may not arrive with the initial Realme UI update. It may come later as an incremental OTA update. So, wait for the future updates and keep an eye on the update changelog as well.
Updated on March 11, 2020: Realme rolled Android 10 update under Realme UI 1.0 skin for the Realme X2 and Realme X2 Pro in China. The update will soon available globally for both the device. Check out the detail given below.
After the launch of Google’s Android 10 OS version officially, some of the smartphone OEMs were quick enough to provide the latest update to its devices like Essential PH, Google Pixel series, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Nokia, etc. Whereas, some other brands are still managed to release beta versions like Samsung, Realme, and more. Now, there is good news for all the Realme device users. Realme UI which will be a customized version of ColorOS 7 based on Android 10, is on its way.

And the company has replied that the upcoming Realme UI update for the Realme 2 Pro may bring the swipe gesture navigation which would be good news for all users. While the company has also mentioned that the Realme 3 Pro devices may get Dirac Sound effect instead of Dolby Atmos and the Realme 5 devices would receive floating apps. Updated on January 14, 2020: Recently, the Realme India CMO Francis Wang has shared some of the images on Twitter that includes some upcoming features like notification light feature instead of a notification LED. That means when a call or SMS arrives, the side bezels of the screen will display breathing color effects as the notification indicator.
However, we’ve already seen this feature on Xiaomi’s latest skin MIUI 11 recently. Meanwhile, the Realme UI also confirmed to get scrolling screenshots and dual-apps support. Additionally, we’ve heard also that Realme may include IR Blaster for its future smartphones to get the most out of it. While the latest Realme UI also supports icon customization settings in different formats.
According to the Realme India Support page in Twitter, the stable Android 10 update will arrive on Realme XT and Realme 3 Pro in this month.
Updated on January 13, 2020: Finally, the much-anticipated Realme’s own customized UI or Realme UI is officially revealed. The new skin features an improved user interface, redesigned rounded icons, overall color contrast ratio and elements, improved fonts, etc. The company has mentioned that the animations, color, animated wallpapers are inspired by household item designs.
It brings all new Quantum Animation Engine for more fluid user experience and improved system performance. There are around 11 wallpapers added with this new Realme UI. While the new skin offers Android 10 (ColorOS 7) based system-wide dark theme, smart sidebar, screen-off display, smart gestures, focus mode, dual earphone connection option, Personal Information Protection, and more. While by the Dual Earphone Connection, users can easily connect both the Bluetooth & Wired headphones together.
Updated on December 18, 2019: As expected the Realme UI based on ColorOS 7 comes with close to Stock Android UI. Now, the home screen, settings UI, app drawer, etc all are looking super clean and organized than earlier. The icons are completely changed which gives a minimal look too. Realme officials mentioned that the icons are designed keeping in mind the golden ratio. However, this is the first look only and still a lot of new features and improvements about to come.

Realme UI Features
According to the Realme brand, the new UI will close to stock-Android including customization features on the top of ColorOS 7. It’s worth mentioning that Oppo has recently announced ColorOS 7 for its devices based on Android 10 that will be rolled out in batches. Meanwhile, Oppo Reno lineup devices will be the first ones to receive the update.
Realme’s own customized UI based on ColorOS 7 includes enhanced system up-gradation, improved smoother gaming graphics, a better RAM Management, new video & vlogging experience, etc. It will also bring the options to customize app icons, fonts style & size, etc that we’ve already seen on ColorOS 7.
Just like the ColorOS 7, the new Realme UI will also offer system-wide dark mode, improved notification center, gestures navigation, improved app permissions, privacy & location control, camera optimization, focus mode, etc.
Realme UI Release Date
The Realme X2 Pro device users will be the first ones to receive the latest software update among others. According to Realme, a special ColorOS 7 Beta update will release for Realme X2 Pro users from December 18, 2019. Meanwhile, the Realme XT users will also get the latest ColorOS 7 update by the end of November 2019 if they already participated in the ColorOS 6.7 program.
The ColorOS 7 Beta program will start from November 27, 2019, mainly for the Realme X2 Pro devices. The interested users can apply for the beta program on Realme Community. Whereas, the Indian variant users can apply for the beta testing recruitment from November 27 to December 3, 2019.
Additionally, the eligible Realme X2 Pro, Project X, and Realme XT ColorOS 6.7 Beta testers can also get a chance to try out the ColorOS 7 Beta version very soon. Realme will announce the final list of selected beta testers on 9th December 2019 officially. Eventually, the duration of the beta testing will be around 2 months from 18th December 2019 to February 2020 expectedly.

Realme X2 Pro Android 10 Update
The public beta program is now live for the users of Realme X2 as well as the Realme X2 Pro users. The registration will start for the Realme X2 on March 11 while the users of Realme X2 Pro can enroll themselves right now. Check out the announcement here
Note that the users need to be running on version A.15 on Realme X2 Pro while A.16 on Realme X2 in order to be eligible to enroll in this beta program.
