The Sharp Aquos Sense 3 is a decent budget smartphone that comes with the Snapdragon 630 SoC. It launched last year towards the year’s end and came with Android 9 Pie pre-installed. By that time Google released the Android 10 update so users were disappointed to see an older Android version. Sharp, however, did promise at least 2 major Android updates for the device.
After months of waiting for the update, Sharp Aquos Sense 3 users can finally rejoice. The Japanese smartphone maker has now released the Android 10 update for the device. This new update is currently live in Japan and it brings a host of new features. This includes all the new privacy features that come along with Android 10.

In case the notification does not show up, users can manually check for the update. To check for the update, go to Settings > System > Advanced > System update > Check for system update. Sharp advises users to take a backup of their data before downloading and installing the Android 10 update. Another thing worth pointing out is that Sharp Aquos Sense 3 users can not revert back to Android 9 Pie after installing the Android 10 update. This will be the first major update for the device. Thus, users can expect to see Android 11 also make its way over to the device. However, given the time it took the company to release Android 10 for the device. We can safely assume that Android 11 for the Sharp Aquos Sense 3 won’t be arriving anytime soon.
