Recently, a player reported on Reddit that after updating their Nvidia driver, the Red Dead Redemption 2 video stopped working. One of the RDR2 (PC) gamers has recently reported a problem after updating the Nvidia graphics driver to the latest version, the Red Dead Redemption 2 video has stopped working. While other video games are working fine with the same graphics driver version. So, there is some issue with the Red Dead Redemption 2 game.

That Reddit user also confirms that the issue has been fixed after rolling back to the previous version of the Nvidia graphics driver. To do this, let’s follow the below steps:

  • Open Device Manager on your Windows 10 PC/Laptop.
  • Expand Display adapters > Right-click on the Nvidia graphics card.
  • Go to Properties > The Graphics Card Properties box will appear.
  • Click on the Driver tab > Click on the Roll Back Driver.

Note:

If the Roll Back Driver button is greyed out, it means there is no old driver version is available right now. So, you will have to download the old driver from the NVIDIA official website and install it manually.
  • The Driver Package rollback page will appear.
  • Select any reason and click on the Yes button to confirm.
  • Once the rollback process is done, you can see the previous driver version and date. If the Driver Date and Version details are decreased, that means you’ve successfully rolled back the Nvidia graphics driver version.
  • Finally, reboot your computer to take effects and the issue of Red Dead Redemption 2 video stopped working may be fixed.

Meanwhile, another Redditor has mentioned that the Full-Screen mode doesn’t work for the RDR2 game. If you can use Full-Screen Window mode by pressing the Alt button and opening the Red Dead Redemption 2 game, the main tab will open at any point of time.
