This open-world environment offers the zombie survival mode to progress in the game including a lot of other challenges such as getting the Goat Pen Master Key. Unfortunately, some of the players are facing the Dead Island 2 Goat Pen Master Key Not Showing or Spawning issue.

This particular Goat Pen Master Key not spawning becomes quite frustrating for the affected Dead Island 2 players. If we take a quick look at the issue, the Goat Pen Master Key is one of the useful items in Dead Island 2 that basically allows players to unlock the Goat Pen mansion. So, they’ll become unable to loot valuable items in the mansion without the master key.

1. Complete Curtis Sinclair’s Previous Quest

First of all, you should complete Curtis Sinclair’s previous quest of the Party side. If you haven’t completed this quest yet, you won’t be able to get the Creature Comforts side quest. After completing the quest, you’ll have to talk to Curtis Sinclair to get the Creature Comforts side quest. This quest will redirect you to the Goat Pen mansion where you’ll find out the locked master bedroom. There you’ll find out the Goat Pen Master Keys which are locked inside a chest of drawers.

you’ll need to make your way to the rooftop area of the mansion by climbing the short staircase on the left side of the building. Once you’re on the rooftop, drop onto the balcony and smash the window to the bedroom. It’ll trigger an alarm and make sure to fight with zombies. After you’ve defeated the zombies, go to the chest of drawers near the bed & pick up the Goat Pen keys.

Now, you can easily unlock the door and proceed with the Creature Comforts quest. This quest will allow you to fully explore the mansion to get the loot. Therefore, you should complete the Creature Comforts side quest to proceed with the Goat Pen Master Key task. Otherwise, it won’t show up.

2. Update Dead Island 2

The chances are high that somehow your Dead Island 2 game becomes outdated and you haven’t installed the latest version. So, you should try updating the game version manually by following the steps below.

Open the Epic Games Launcher > Head over to Library.
Now, click on the three dots icon next to Dead Island 2.
Make sure the Auto Update option is turned on.
Whenever the update is available, it’ll automatically install the update.
