Finding the Josiu Shrine
Hidden within the clouds of the West Necluda Sky Archipelago in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll find the intriguing Josiu Shrine. This shrine is nestled at coordinates 1759, -1208, 0924, and can be accessed by journeying to the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower and gliding eastwards towards the sky archipelago.
Embarking on the Josiu Shrine Challenge
The challenge of the Josiu Shrine is unique, as it is located out in the open, presenting a blend of physical and mental tests for players. To embark on this quest, you must interact with the shrine, which curiously lacks the usual central rock but emits a beam towards a crystal on a nearby island.
Mastering the Mechanics of the Shrine
Adjacent to the bridge leading to the crystal, there is a contraption that controls a curved bridge. Using the Ultrahand, adjust the bridge to connect the crystal island and the one to your left, similar to positioning the hands of a clock at 9 and 12.
From here, you’ll need to leap back to the shrine and venture onto another island, one marked by four arms attached to a circle. Here lies a launcher and a capstan for rotating it. Align the launcher towards the island to the southeast – the same island you bridged to earlier – and ride the launcher to the next island.
Securing the Crystal
On this island, you can procure the crystal. Place it near the bridge’s edge, which will assist you in transporting it back to the shrine. However, be cautious while rotating the bridge to prevent the crystal from falling.
With the crystal in hand, return to the first island and rotate the bridge to access the crystal. Bring it back to the shrine, where it will expand into the shrine itself.
Claiming Your Rewards
Enter the shrine to obtain a Large Zonai Charge from the chest and receive your Light of Blessing from the statues. For those keen on exploration, you can use the launcher to reach the surrounding islands, where you’ll find Luminous Stone deposits and a chest containing a Sage’s Will.
Extra Tips and Tricks
Unlocking Tulin as your companion can simplify the puzzle, allowing you to focus solely on rotating the bridge to move the crystal.
Once you’ve successfully completed the Josiu Shrine challenge, you’re one step closer to conquering all 152 shrines in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. But remember, the journey is as important as the destination, so keep your wits about you and savor the adventure along the way!
