Google meet was previously known as Google Hangouts or Hangouts. Different schools, colleges, and companies all over the world are using Google Meet for their meetings and online classes. If you are the host of the meeting and you have muted someone in the chat, you can not unmute them. Yes, once someone is muted, only the person who has been muted can unmute their mic. You have to ask the muted person to do it from their side.

Here is the process to unmute. It is very simple. You just have to click on the mic button. Check the toolbar of the meeting call UI. There will be three different icons. The first one will be a red mic if you are muted, the second one to disconnect the call, and the last one to enable or disable video chat.

To unmute yourself, Simply click on the red mic icon.
