Restart Modem/Router

This is the first and most important step. If your modem or router has some issue then there is no benefit of trying other methods. Follow the below steps to properly reboot the modem or the router.

  • Press and hold the power button, until the light goes off.
  • Unplug the router from the power source.
  • Keep it unplugged for 1-2 minute(s).
  • Plug it back to the power source.
  • Press the Power button to turn it back on.
  • Wait for all the lights to become stable.
  • Reboot your phone then try to connect to the Internet.

Wait until your device is connected then try to navigate to a website using your mobile app browser to see if you can now access the Internet.

Troubleshoot apps in Safe Mode

  • Don’t select the internal storage checkbox. Select it only if you are sure you have backed up everything on internal storage, including photos and videos, music, documents, and other files.
  • Tap the ERASE EVERYTHING button now and let the phone do its thing.
  • The device would restart automatically after performing the factory reset.

Hard Reset

  • First, power off your phone normally.
  • To turn it on, press and hold the Volume up + Power buttons simultaneously.
  • Don’t release them until you see the OnePlus logo on the screen.
  • Tap on the ‘Wipe data/Factory reset‘ option.
  • Now tap on the ‘Wipe data/Factory reset‘ option to confirm your selection.
  • The phone will reset and on the new screen, use the Volume up button to scroll to the ‘Reboot system now.’ This will reboot your phone normally and that’s it!
