Comments

  1. The Samsung Galaxy A02 came with Android 10 out of the box not Android 11. It was Updated to Android 11. Samsung promised Android 12 for the system and it was supposed to be pushed out on OTA back in May 2022, then June, July and August. It never happened. The device was pushed off the official Samsung site and you really have to look for it and it was buried in the community forums as well. After looking at a whole host of sites to see the device was either ignored or just was supplemented by the A02s. I decided to get a hold of official Samsung support. In an email I was told point blank the device will not receive any more updates. The A01, A03 will get Android 12, but they have treated this device like it does not exist.

    1. Actually, Samsung A02s got One UI 4.1 update which contains Android 12. Samsung announced which devices will get One UI 5 update on their list uploaded on the Samsung Members app. The list doesn’t include the Samsung Galaxy A02 series, so as long as they don’t change their mind, this device series won’t get Android 13.

  2. it saddens my heart after reading your comment, Eric.
its good you have revealed what is at stake. I hope Samsung has a change of heart and roll out Android 12 or 13 for A02.
