A Bootloader is usually locked on an Android device due to system security or privacy-related measures. As the Android OS is an open-source platform and anyone can do anything with it, the smartphone OEMs always want to stick to their skin and OS version that is specially developed and designed for their own device models. 1. I’d like to know this as well for the T-Mobile version. He doesn’t specify whether this is a universal method, or just the non-US versions as it used to be required to have a non-US version to unlock the bootloader.

    2. The bootloader can’t be unlocked on any US snapdragon s22. Also, they left out several steps, like the adb part, so I wouldn’t trust this site anyway

  1. @John It does not work on SM-S901U.

Specifically, when you get to the step where you have to turn “OEM Unlocking” on in Developer Options, you will find no such option on the SM-S901U.

The author should specify this. His method does work on every OTHER model, just not on US Snapdragon models of the phone. It makes no sense why Samsung does this.
