But some users lately started experiencing some issues with this app. They were able to edit some photos and make a video, but when exporting the app gives out some unknown error. Before continuing to the troubleshooting part, check if you have some amount of storage left on your C: drive. If you don’t have then try clearing some space by deleting unnecessary files and uninstalling unwanted programs.
Method 1: Update the Photos app
The chances are that you might be running an older version of the Photos app. So you can try updating the Photos app in order to rectify this issue. Since Photos is a UWP app (Universal Windows Platform), updates are handled through the Microsoft store. So to update the app:
- Open Microsoft store from the start menu.
- Click on the Download icon to the top right corner.
- Scroll down to photos and click on Update to get the latest version.
