With each year, EA releases a new football simulation video game, but this year EA has come up with a new lineup of EA Sports FC. So, the newly released EA Sports FC 24 football simulation video game is everything about FIFA but without the FIFA franchise. This new title has HyperMotionV technology and other features with multiple game modes. It’s also integrated with the Easy AntiCheat system to prevent online hacks or cheats. But somehow, the standard players are experiencing the EA Sports FC 24 EA AntiCheat Service Encountered an Error.
As per multiple reports, EA FC 24 players are prevented from entering the game due to the “FC 24 EA AntiCheat Service Encountered an Error” notice on the PC. Some players get the “EA AntiCheat Service encountered a system error” message or “EA AntiCheat failure during update process” error notice while trying to get into the game. Fix: EA Sports FC 24 EA AntiCheat Service Encountered an Error
If you are encountering the “EAC service encountered an error on EA Sports FC 24” message, there are several possible reasons for this issue. It could be due to lack of admin permission, an outdated game patch version, corrupted game files, antivirus or firewall blocking, conflicts with the overlay apps, issues with the Easy Anti-Cheat service, issues with the game servers, temporary system glitches, or the Easy Anti-Cheat service not running. But, there’s no need to panic as you can fix this problem easily.
Luckily, here we’ve shared with you a couple of possible workarounds that should be useful. Make sure to follow all troubleshooting until the problem has been fixed. So, without wasting any more time, let’s jump into it.
1. Reboot the PC
First of all, you can try rebooting the PC manually to refresh the system glitch or cache data issue. Though some players might not benefit, you should try it once.
2. Run the Game as an Administrator
Make sure to run the game app file on your PC as an administrator access to allow the User Account Control (UAC) access to the system. In some cases, your system requires the UAC access permission to run a program, which is quite important. By following the steps below, you’ll have to allow the admin access for once and it won’t ask you for the same again. To do so:
- Go to the installed EA Sports FC 24 game directory.
- Right-click on the application file on your PC.
- Click on Properties > Click on the Compatibility tab.
- Click on the Run this program as an administrator checkbox to enable it.
- Once done, click on Apply and then OK to save changes.
3. Check for EA FC 24 Updates
In case, you haven’t updated your EA FC 24 game for a while, then make sure to follow the steps below to check for updates and install the latest patch (if available). To do this:
For Steam:
- Open the Steam client > Go to Library.
- Click on EA FC 24 from the left pane.
- It’ll automatically search for the available update.
- If there is an update available, make sure to click on Update.
- Wait for some time as it may take a while.
- Once done, restart the PC to apply changes.
For Epic Games Launcher:
- Open the Epic Games Launcher > Go to Library.
- Click on EA FC 24 from the left pane.
- Click on the three-dot icon > Check the auto-update to get a new update installation automatically.
- It’ll automatically search for the available update.
- If there is an update available, make sure to click on Update.
- Finally, reboot your PC to apply changes.
For Origin:
- Open the Origin client on the PC > Click on Application Settings.
- Now, look for the Client update section > Here, you’ll need to Turn ON the Automatic game updates option.
For EA Desktop:
- Launch the EA Desktop client on the PC.
- Make sure that you’re logged into a valid EA account.
- Head over to the Profile section at the top right corner.
- Now, click on the down arrow icon next to the profile.
- Click on Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Click on the Download tab.
- Under the Updates section, you’ll need to Turn ON the Update games automatically toggle.
- You should also Turn ON the Enable background services toggle to keep things going smoothly.
- Once done, restart the EA Desktop client again to apply changes immediately.
4. Verify and Repair Game Files
Verifying and repairing the game files automatically using the game client is also recommended. It’ll ensure to repair of the corrupted or missing game files on the PC.
For Steam:
- Open up Steam > Go to Library.
- Right-click on the EA FC 24 game.
- Click on Properties > Go to the Local Files tab.
- Select Verify Integrity of Game Files…
- This process will start and try repairing game files.
- Let the process be completed. Once done, close the Steam client.
- Restart your computer to apply changes.
For Epic Games Launcher:
- Open the Epic Games Launcher > Click on EA FC 24 in the library.
- Click on the three-dot icon next to the game.
- Select the Manage option.
- Now, click on the Verify option.
- Confirm the task and wait for it to complete.
- Once done, reboot the PC to apply changes.
For Origin:
- Open the Origin client on the PC.
- Go to My Game Library > Select EA FC 24 from the list of installed games.
- Now, click on the Settings icon > Select Repair.
- Wait for the client to do the job for you.
- Once done, close the client and restart the PC to change effects.
For EA Desktop:
- Open the EA Desktop client > Go to My Collection.
- Now, right-click on EA FC 24 from the list of games.
- Click on Repair and wait for the verification process to be completed.
- Once done, make sure to restart the computer to apply changes.
5. Repair Easy Anti Cheat
You should try repairing the EAC (Easy AntiCheat) system on your PC because a corrupted or missing EAC application file can prevent the game files from running properly. To do so:
- Go to your game installation folder. By default, C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin games\EA FC 24.
- Enter into the folder > Check for the EasyAntiCheat folder.
- Just open the folder > Right-click on EasyAntiCheat_setup.
- Choose Run as administrator > Select your EA FC 24 game from the dropdown menu.
- Then click on Repair Service.
- When the installation finishes, try launching your game again.
- If you’re still seeing problems, right-click on the EA FC 24 game tile in My Game Library and choose Repair.
6. Enable EasyAntiCheat Service
Sometimes the easy anti-cheat system might get disabled due to unexpected reasons that you can’t help it. But you can manually enable it by following the steps below to check for the same.
- Press the Win+R keys to open up the Run dialogue box.
- Type services.msc and hit Enter to open Services.
- Search for the Easy AntiCheat service > Set the Startup type as Manual.
- If not, you’ll have to right-click on Easy Anti-Cheat.
- Click on Properties > Set the Startup type to Manual.
- Now, reboot your computer and launch the game.
7. Check for Windows Updates
If you’re running an outdated Windows version or build number for a while then make sure to follow the steps below to check for the same. Always try to install the latest update of the system so that you can get the latest security patch, improved performance, bug fixes, additional features, and more.
- Press the Win+I keys to open Windows Settings.
- Click on Windows Update > Click on Check for updates.
- If there is an update available, click on Download and Install.
- Wait for the update process to be completed.
- Once done, reboot your PC to apply changes.
8. Reinstall Easy Anti Cheat
We don’t recommend uninstalling EA anti-cheat unless you need to install it from a clean state. To do that, follow these steps.
- Open the File Explorer > Search for C:\Program Files\EA\AC.
- Click on EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe to launch the installer.
- Choose the EA FC 24 game > Click on Uninstall.
EA anti-cheat protection will also be uninstalled from your PC if you uninstall all EA games that use it.
Now, you can check the steps below to reinstall EAC.
- Download the EA anti-cheat installer.
- If you’re on a desktop, the link will automatically download the installer onto your browser.
- Click on the EA FC 24 game that you want to add EA anti-cheat.
- Click on Install > Once done, restart the PC to apply changes.
9. Disable Overlay Applications
Mostly conflicts with the background running third-party overlay apps can trigger several issues with the game launching because they consume a lot of system resources just like the processes whenever you start the game. Even though the game doesn’t launch, the overlay app starts and runs until you close it manually. Some overlay apps may also start running while you boot the system at the very beginning. So, try disabling overlay apps manually.
Disable Discord Overlay:
- Open the Discord app > Click on the gear icon (Settings) at the bottom.
- Select Overlay under App Settings > Turn on the Enable in-game overlay.
- Click on Games > Select EA Sports FC 24.
- Make sure to turn off the Enable in-game overlay toggle.
- Once done, reboot your PC to apply changes.
Disable Xbox Game Bar:
- Press the Win+I keys to open Windows Settings.
- Now, click on Gaming > Go to Game Bar.
- Turn Off the Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using the Game bar option.
- Once done, save changes, and reboot the PC to apply changes.
Disable Nvidia GeForce Experience Overlay:
- Launch the Nvidia GeForce Experience app > Go to Settings.
- Click on General > Disable the In-Game Overlay option.
- Once done, restart the PC to apply changes.
Disable Steam Overlay:
- Open the Steam client > Click on Library.
- Right-click on EA Sports FC 24 > Click on Properties.
- Click on General > Turn OFF the Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game option.
- Once done, reboot the PC to change the effects.
Some PC gamers or advanced users also use some other overlay apps such as MSI Afterburner, Rivatuner, RGB software, etc.
10. Whitelist EAC to Antivirus
Sometimes adding the EAC service executable file to the antivirus (whitelist) can also fix multiple issues with the launching errors. To do so:
- Go to Windows Settings > Click on Privacy & Security.
- Click on Windows Security > Click on Virus & Threat Protection.
- Now, click on Manage Ransomware Protection.
- Turn ON the Controlled Folder Access toggle (if prompted by UAC, click on Yes).
- Click on Allow an app through controlled folder access (If prompted by UAC, click on Yes).
- Next, click on Add an allowed app > Go to the installed EAC directory.
- You’ll need to select the EAC application > Click on Open to add it.
- Once done, make sure to reboot the PC to apply changes.
11. Turn Off Windows Firewall
Windows Firewall basically prevents unauthorized ongoing connections of the EAC application or game application. You can try turning it off temporarily to check for the issue again.
- Open the Start Menu > Type Windows Firewall and click on Windows Defender Firewall from the search result.
- Now, click on Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off from the left pane.
- Turn Off the Private and Public Network Settings options.
- Finally, click on OK to save changes > Restart the PC to apply changes.
12. Install the EA Anti-Cheat Certificate
It’s also worth recommending installing the EA Anti-Cheat Certificate on the PC for the EA FC 24 by following the steps below.
- Open the EA Desktop App > Go to the EA FC 24 game page.
- Select Manage > Then choose View Properties.
- Select Browse > This will take you to the game directory.
- Right-click on the EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher files.
- Select Properties > Navigate to the Digital Signatures tab.
- Double-click on the item > Click on View Certificates.
- Then click on Install Certificate > Click on Next.
- Click on Next again > Then click on Finish.
- Finally, reboot the PC to apply changes.
