Troubleshooting - Methods to Fix Bluboo Battery Draining Problems [How to Solve]

One fundamental part of the smartphone that unfortunately hasn’t kept up is its battery, and the only resolve is to either get a power bank or take advantage of phones with fast charging capabilities for minimal charging time.

At any point in time, your phone would be in either one of these states:

  • Awake (with screen on) / Active
  • Awake (with screen off) / Standby
  • Sleeping / Idle

The battery is mostly drained when your device is active. There are times when the screen is off, but the phone still performs a few tasks in the background (like syncing emails, etc.), the device is on standby and it might consume a significant amount of battery as well. When the phone is idle, it stays in the “sleeping” state and consumes almost negligible battery.

Methods to Fix Bluboo Battery Draining Problems

A couple of things can be done to get the most out of your phone, however, these tips are not going to quadruple your battery life, but at the very least, you won’t end up with switching off the device when you need it the most. Instead, it will help fix Bluboo battery draining problem.

1. Apps that drain your battery

Being able to have numerous apps for different purposes downloaded on your phone is the true definition of a smartphone. However, there may be a few that are resulting in rapid battery drain, without you even knowing about it.
You can see which apps are using up your battery by going to the Battery section in the Settings menu of your device. If you often use an app, it will be higher up on the list. if you find that an app is causing an abnormal amount of battery drain, your best bet is to uninstall that particular app. These issues can often be fixed with a software update, so once an update for that app becomes available, you should be able to install it once again.

There are also some apps that access your location, and using GPS in the background can cause significant battery drain. You can ascertain this by going to the Location section in the Settings. Here, you will see a list of apps that use location services, and tapping on an app will show how much battery has been drained because of it.
If it is significant, you can stop it by turning off the location option in the App Permissions for the particular one. It may also be a good idea to keep GPS turned off when you are not planning to use it. So, if you are planning to use Google Maps, you can turn GPS back on, and then turn it off again after you are done.

Another reason Bluboo battery draining occur for some users is that of widgets. As fun and convenient as widgets may be, having a lot of them can result in a lot of battery life being used up. So, if there are any widgets that you do not use often and can do without, it may be a good idea to remove it.

2. Battery Drainage Caused by Google Play

Even though Google Play is a vital part of the Bluboo device, there are times when it can consume a lot of battery power. You can clear its cache once in a week or twice to make sure that it won’t drain your battery. Additionally, the auto-updating of apps might also be consuming your battery. Disable the auto update option for your applications.

3. Turn Off the Auto-sync Feature

If your mail, contacts, calendar, and every other social media app like Facebook or Instagram are set on auto-sync, then your phone can never really go to a “sleeping” state. To save its battery, it is recommended that you turn this feature OFF, as services like GPS and mail sync might consume a significant part of your Bluboo battery life.

4. Signal Strength Issue

Whenever you enter a low signal strength area, it causes an extra load on your Bluboo battery. Your phone keeps searching to gain a better signal strength and it might take a toll on your battery usage. If you don’t need the signal, then it’s better to toggle the Airplane mode option and save its battery under such unavoidable circumstances, especially when you are in transit.

5. Power-Saving Modes

All Android smartphones come with the power saving mode option, and enabling this removes animations, turns background syncing off, turns location services off and reduces display brightness, to help get some extra juice out of your battery. This mode is usually activated automatically when the battery reaches a certain percentage, but can also be manually enabled through the settings menu on your device. This mode essentially turns your device into a feature phone, and all you can really do is make calls or send text messages. If you are really running low on battery and need to be able to contact someone, this mode will prove to be a lifesaver.

6. Display settings

Most new smartphones come with an Auto Brightness setting that, as the name suggests, automatically sets the brightness level of the display by detecting the lighting condition. If you are looking to extend your battery life, manually setting the brightness to a lower level makes a significant difference in this regard. Unless you absolutely have to tune up the display brightness, keeping it low is a good idea.
You can also save a little bit of battery by changing the screen timeout interval, which is the amount of time the display stays on, while the device is idle. Unless you need the display to stay on when the device is idle for a long time, changing setting the interval to a few seconds will help just a little bit.

7. Battery maintenance

While most smartphones offer great battery life at the start, you will find its performance fading after a year or two, or even sooner if the battery is not maintained properly. Batteries tend to degrade faster when the device heats up, regardless of whether it is in use or idle. Even simple things like not leaving your phone on the car dashboard on a hot, sunny day will help with the device battery drain.
When in use, and especially when playing graphics-intensive games, we all found our devices becoming uncomfortably warm. At the time, it’s a good idea to close the app and let the device rest till it cools down, or even turn the phone off, to speed up the process.

Many users are tuned to the idea of the 10-90 system, which means that you do not charge your battery beyond ninety percent (90%) and never have it drop less than ten percent (10%). Some believe that the 40-80 system is better. However, it is recommended that you discharge the battery fully and charge it back to 100%, at least once every three months or so, to help prevent Bluboo battery draining frequently.

8. Apps that help improve battery life

It may seem counter-productive to download more apps to prevent Bluboo battery draining, but there are a few very useful ones out there.
Greenify helps you identify which apps are causing battery drain, and put these into hibernation when you are not using them, to stop them from lagging your device and leeching the battery. They can do nothing without an explicit launch by you or other apps, while still preserving full functionality when running in the foreground.

Keep in mind that most functionality of the app is disabled, so it’s not a good idea to use with alarm clocks or messaging apps. Greenify has also added “Aggressive Doze” and “Doze on the go” features, for devices running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and above. You can download Greenify from the Google Play Store.
The GSam Battery Monitor is another app that monitors battery usage. Once the app is installed, it takes a couple of days to gather data on your smartphone and battery usage, then after that, it will give you a great overview over what is using how much battery on your device.

So, there you have it, possible methods to fix the Bluboo battery draining issue with the above methods.
