What is FRP?

Factory Reset Protection or more commonly known as FRP is a security method put in place by Google for all devices, starting with Android 5.1 Lollipop. As soon as you sign with a Google ID, the FRP kicks in. Henceforth, only the user with the correct account credentials would be in a position to factory reset your device. Even if an unauthorized user tries to access your device via some workaround, accessing your device would still require your Google account username and password.

All in all, if your device gets lost, then it still stands secure as the other user wouldn’t be able to reset your device and add their own account. But this begs an all-important question- what if the owner of this device forgets his account details. Well, if that ever happens, then this guide is there to help you out.
