1. Reboot the Game and the Device

First, you should try restarting the COD Modern Warfare 2 game and the gaming device to ensure no temporary glitch or cache data issue is bothering you. Though a normal game reboot can fix minor bugs or glitches quite easily, some players might not benefit, but you should try it once before getting into the other workarounds.

2. Keep Retry Connecting to the Servers

You should keep retrying to connect to the game servers manually by checking the same multiple times. Some of the players have found this trick useful.

3. Check Activision Online Services

You can also check for Activision Online Services here to ensure whether there is an issue with the server or not. Sometimes issues with the servers or online services might trouble you to get into the game. You’re good to go if the online status shows active or operational for all platforms. Otherwise, you can wait for a couple of hours and try again.
