Tera Raid Battle Events are 7-star raids where you will be able to catch some powerful Pokemon. The last events had Charizard and Cinderace, and now players will be able to complete the raid to get the coveted Greninja. It is a Water and Dark Type Pokemon which was introduced in Generation VI.
In these 7-Star Tera Raid Battle events, you can team up with three other trainers and fight against unique Tera Type Pokemon. As they run for a limited time only, the first thing you should be aware of is the date of the event. Usually, it takes place over the weekends so that players can get ample time to collect the Pokemon they want.
The dates for the Greninja Tera Raid Battle Event are as follows:
- First phase: 27th January (Friday) 00.00 UTC to 29th January (Sunday) 23.59 UTC
- Second phase: 10th February (Friday) 00.00 UTC to 12th February (Sunday) 23.59 UTC
If you want to get your hands on Greninja, this is the only chance as you cannot catch this Pokemon in the wild. The event Pokemon will have some special boosts as well. The Ninja Pokemon can be captured only once in the game. However, you will be able to repeat the event multiple times in order to win other rewards such as EXP Candies, Poison Tera Shards, Ability Patches, and Mints. If you want to breed this Pokemon, you will be able to do so with a Ditto. If you want a Shiny Greninja, you can get one through breeding. Note that the Tera Raid Battle Event will not be offering a Shiny Greninja.
