Luckily, CAPCOM did acknowledge this issue publicly on their official Twitter handle and they’re actively investigating it to try fixing it asap. There is no estimated timeline given yet by the developers. So, we expect the official patch update to arrive within a couple of weeks or more.

Meanwhile, we’ve shared with you a couple of possible workarounds mentioned below that should come in handy. So, without wasting any more time, let’s jump into it.

1. Disable Depth of Field and Motion Blur

First of all, you can try disabling the “Depth of Field” option in the game settings. It’ll help in reducing graphical glitches or texture-loading issues. Additionally, you can try turning off the “Motion Blur” option from the “Camera” tab of the in-game settings menu.

2. Try Disabling Chromatic Aberration

Affected players can try disabling the “Chromatic Aberration” option from the game settings menu which may help in improving the texture that appears in the game.

3. Lower in-game Graphics Settings

You can also try lowering in-game graphics settings as per the PC configuration to ensure your system can run the game quite smoothly. If your game graphics is set to higher and the PC specification is somehow not compatible enough to handle those settings, it may start bothering you in several ways.

4. Update Resident Evil 4

If in case, you haven’t updated the Resident Evil 4 game for a while then make sure to follow the steps below to check for updates and install the latest patch (if available). To do this:

PC:

  • Open the Steam client > Go to Library.
  • Click on Resident Evil 4 from the left pane.
  • It’ll automatically search for the available update.
  • If any, make sure to click on Update.
  • Wait for the update to complete and reboot the PC to apply changes.

PS4/PS5:

  • Turn on your PS4/PS5 console > Go to the Home screen.

6. Update System Software

PlayStation 4/5:

It’s recommended to update the PS4/PS5 system software to avoid graphical glitches or lags. You can follow the steps below to install the update.

  • Head over to Settings > Hit System.
  • Select System Software > Hit System Software Update and Settings.
  • Select Update System Software > Select Update Using Internet.

Xbox:

  • Press the Home button on the Xbox console to open the Dashboard menu.
  • Now, select Settings from the bottom of the menu > Select All Settings.
  • Choose System > Select Updates.
  • Select Update Console (if available) > Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update process.
  • Once done, make sure to restart the console to apply changes.

PC:

  • Press the Win+I keys to open Windows Settings.
  • Click on Update & Security > Select Check for updates under the Windows Update section.
  • If there is a feature update available, select Download and Install.
  • Wait for the update to complete and reboot the PC to apply changes.

7. Update Graphics Drivers

An outdated graphics driver version can eventually trigger multiple issues with the graphics-hungry program running smoothly. So, updating graphics drivers on your Windows system is always required to run all the programs smoothly. To do this:

  • Right-click on the Start Menu to open the Quick Link Menu.
  • Click on Device Manager from the list.
  • Now, double-click on the Display adapters category to expand the list.

  • Select Update driver > Choose Search automatically for drivers.
  • An update will automatically download and install the latest version if available.
  • Once done, make sure to reboot your computer to change the effects.

Nvidia graphics card users can update the GeForce Experience app via the official site. Meanwhile, AMD graphics card users can visit the AMD website for the same.
