Moreover, a tipster, Dohyun Kim, claims that Samsung will launch the Android 14 beta for Galaxy S23 devices around the middle of July. It is, therefore, realistic to expect the Android 14 beta upgrade for the Galaxy S22 series to begin rolling out around the same time of July or August, just ahead of the stable release of Android 14 by Google.

The stable Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update for the Galaxy S22 series seems to be scheduled for October 2023. This schedule is feasible in light of Samsung’s past software release patterns. Update October 30, 2023: Samsung has finally started the One UI 6.0 based on Android 14 stable rollout for the Galaxy devices. The update is available for the Galaxy S23 series for now. It will be rolling out to other devices soon.

Update October 12, 2023: Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 6.0 Beta 3 based on Android 14 for the Galaxy S22 series. The update is currently only rolling out for Indian users, but it should be available in other regions very soon.

Update October 06, 2023: Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 6 Beta 2 for the Galaxy S22 series. Although initially only available in the UK, it should be expanding to other countries soon. Users enrolled in the Beta can update their devices now.

Update October 04, 2023: Google has finally released the stable Android 14 alongside the Pixel 8 series. Several new AI features have been added in the OS. Users with a Pixel 4a 5G and later can install the update right away. Other users have to wait for their OEMs to release the update for their device.

Update September 21, 2023: Google has finally released the Android 14 QPR1 Beta 1 for the Pixel devices. The Android 14 stable release will be on October 4th. This is the first quarterly major update for Android 14.

Update September 19, 2023: The One UI 6 Beta update has been released for the Galaxy S22 series in South Korea. This update will be available in other countries as well very soon. You can enroll in the update via the Samsung Members app.

Update August 26, 2023: As expected, Google has also released the Android 14 Beta 5.2. The stable release of Android 14 seems to be delayed till September. Update August 19, 2023: Unfortunately, Google’s promise wasn’t true. Google has released the Android 14 Beta 5.1 update for the Pixel devices. The update is being gradually released for eligible Pixel devices, bringing bug fixes to Android 14. Google has also assured a fix for a certain wallpaper bug, indicating the possibility of Beta 5.2. The exact release date for the stable Android 14 update is still unknown.

Updated on August 9, 2023: Samsung started rolling their new security patch update to the device with build number S908BXXS6CWF6. The update has no major changes apart from bug fixes and security improvements.

Update August 08, 2023: In a recent turn of events, Samsung accidentally unveiled the One UI 6 Beta. This revelation occurred through a post on Samsung Germany’s newsroom, although the post was subsequently removed. The image showcased in the post portrayed the upcoming control center for One UI 6. The fresh design of the control center boasts a more refined and contemporary look, complete with an expanded one-handed-friendly mode that activates when pulled down. It retains the distinctive One UI elements. Nonetheless, Samsung users will need to exercise patience, as the One UI 6 Beta release has encountered another round of delays.

Update July 27, 2023: Android 14 Beta 4.1 has been released with an extensive list of bug fixes targeting Pixel devices, such as the Pixel Fold. This recent Beta 4.1 release may be the end of the Android 14 Beta series, indicating the forthcoming stable release of Android 14. Additionally, there are reports of Samsung gearing up to launch the One UI 6.0 Beta, built on Android 14, on August 2, 2023.

Update July 12, 2023: Android 14 Beta 4 has been announced officially, providing an update for eligible users. The rollout of this update is taking place slowly for users who are part of the Beta program. This latest Beta version should either be the last or second-to-last Beta update before the final release of Android 14 in August 2023. The upcoming week may witness Samsung initiating the release of the One UI 6.0 Beta, which is built on Android 14.

Other OEMs have already released the beta version of Android 14 for selected devices, but Samsung has not yet started testing the beta for its smartphones.
