ESPN+ is one of the popular over-the-top (OTT) subscription video streaming services, natively available in the United States. It’s owned by Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution in partnership with ESPN Inc. which offers all kinds of popular sports coverage across the globe. Though the service is good enough in most cases, some users may experience ESPN Plus Buffering and Keep Lagging Issue on their respective devices.

There is nothing new for the subscribers to have content streaming issues on any services like buffering, lagging, slow loading issues, choppy video playback, poor streaming quality, requests timed out, and more. Talking about poor video streaming, it may occur due to several possible reasons like a temporary glitch or outdated app or poor internet, etc.

1. Reboot the device

It’s recommended to restart your device once before going to any conclusion. Sometimes issues with the temporary system glitch can cause multiple conflicts with the application to run properly or streaming content online. If you’re using a mobile device then make sure to close the app and restart it as usually you do.

4. Don’t use VPN

You shouldn’t try using any kind of VPN (Virtual Private Network) with your Wi-Fi router or the device to stream geo-restricted content or service from any other region. Maybe you’ll be able to stream content using a VPN service but that’ll eventually increase the slow loading or buffering issue a lot. Sometimes VPN services can easily reduce internet speed which is also known as ping/latency. So, the higher ping/latency will be there, the slower video will load.

5. Close other programs

Try closing all other unnecessary apps or programs on your device while you’re trying to playback online content on the ESPN+ app. It’ll basically increase the load on your internet speed which can cause buffering and lagging issues.

6. Sign Out and Sign Back In

Sometimes corrupted cache data issues or any kind of temporary glitch with the account/service may cause such issues. Therefore, we’ll suggest you simply head over to the ESPN+ profile section and sign out of your account straight away. Once done, close the app then open it again and sign back into your existing ESPN+ account once again.

7. Reinstall the ESPN Plus app

If none of the methods worked for you then you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the ESPN+ app on your respective device by deleting the application first. Then make sure to restart the device once to clear any kind of saved corrupted cache data from the system/storage. Now, head over to the respective online store where you can install/update apps. Then search for ESPN Plus and hit Install to get it installed. Once done, log into your account to access it.
