It’s specially designed for creative personnel and coders. Logitech MX Keyboard supports multiple OS, and with a wireless feature, you can carry easily. But some users report in Logitech and Windows community that MX Keys number pad are not working. There may be many reasons behind the Keyboard is not working properly, like software glitches, adding various custom keyboard shortcuts, or any hardware issues.

Before moving to the solution, let’s check with some basic troubleshooting. First, we have to check if any hardware damage is not in your MX Key keyboard. Moreover, sometimes the wireless receiver is not connected properly to the system. Also, weak batteries may affect some features of the Keyboard or any other interference between the connecter and receiver. Kindly check all these factors and then restart your system once to remove all minor technical bugs automatically.

You can try to connect with another system to check if the problem is not in your Keyboard. If it works fine, then there may be any software issue in your system.

Method 1: Turn off filter keys in Ease of Access

Windows often tend to configure some default settings whenever you install a new keyboard or mouse. If you turn off the filter keys, then the problem of the MX Keys number pad not working will fix automatically.

Type ease in Windows Start Search box and navigate to Click Ease of Access.

Click Make the Keyboard easier to use.

Make sure “Turn on filter Keys” is not checked.

Method 2: Try Different USB Port to Connect the Keyboard

To start with, connect the Logitech MX Keyboard with a USB and make sure you insert it on the primary USB port. Also, clean the USB input and the receiver with cotton buds. There may be dust there that interrupts the connection.

First, you have to unplug all that cable or USB wire from the system and Keyboard, clean it properly, and insert the USB cable in another port. Now Restart the system and check if the number pad is working or not.

Method 3: Reinstall/Update the MX key Keyboard Driver

Sometimes the outdated driver version might also be affecting the features of the Keyboard. Check for the latest version, or you can directly install the driver from the official website of Logitech. Also, you can reinstall the driver to remove the corrupted driver.

  • Right-clicking on the Start Menu and click on the Device Manager.
  • Navigate and double-click on the Keyboard Section on the Device Manager tab to expand.
  • Then right-click on the Logitech Keyboard driver and select Uninstall from the pop-up menu.

  • After that restart, your system and managing go to the Device Manager window.
  • ┬áThe system automatically detects the Keyboard again and installs the latest version of the Keyboard driver.

Method 4: Disable Mouse Key Options

Many users in the Windows community recommend the following methods. First, the issue is fixed by disabling the Mouse Key option from the system’s settings may resolve the issue.

  • Go to your System’s Control Panel and click on Accessibility (on Windows 10, you can search Ease of Access Center).

  • Now scroll down below and click on the Mouse option next to the Keyboard.
  • Then, disable the Mouse Keys from the toggle switch and click Apply.

  • After that, click on OK to confirm and restart the system to apply the changes.

If the mouse keys are disabled by default, turn it on once, wait for 3 seconds, turn it off again, and follow the above steps.
