Samsung finally started pushing their new major OS update, One UI 4.1 for the Galaxy M11 based on Android 12. The update is now started rolling around the globe. The smartphone was launched back in May 2020. Although the phone came with Android 10 One UI 2.0 out of the box, it has recently received the Android 11 update.

As per some reports, it is said to be rolling with build number M115FXXU3CVF6 for users around the globe. With this, Samsung has included the latest June 2022 Security patch, which fixes many security bugs and vulnerabilities.

Samsung Galaxy M11: Device Overview

The Samsung Galaxy M11 features a 6.4-inch PLS IPS panel with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1560. The screen has a tall aspect ratio of 19.5:9, and as it is a budget device, we don’t get any form of protection on display. In terms of power, we only get the budget-oriented Qualcomm Snapdragon 450, which is not an efficient processor at all, especially considering the mid-range and flagship processors from Qualcomm. It is an octa-core processor with eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. There are no specific high-performance cores here.

For the cameras, we see a triple camera setup at the back. It features a 13MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, a 5MP ultrawide sensor with an f/2.2 lens, and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The primary camera can only shoot up to 1080p videos due to the low power of the Snapdragon 450 processor. Coming to the front, we get a single 8MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens. This is also only capable of 1080p videos.

There are two storage configurations available for the Samsung Galaxy M11: 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. There is a dedicated slot in the smartphone for storage expansion via a MicroSD card. In terms of connectivity, we get Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB Type-C 2.0. Powering all of this is a 5,000 mAh battery, which supports up to 15W of fast charging. This budget smartphone from Samsung is available in four color options: Black, Metallic Blue, and Violet.

Of course, the Samsung Galaxy M11 came out of the box with Android 10 and later received the Android 11 update. According to Samsung’s recent policy change, their device will get three years of major OS support and four years of a security patch update. As promised, finally Samsung started rolling their One UI 4.1 update to their flagship and feature-rich smartphone.

The dark mode is now been expanded to all app icons and the camera UI adds ease to use and is better than the last version.

Updated on August 30, 2022: Samsung started rolling the June 2022 security patch update for the device with software version M115FXXU3CVH1. The update is based on Android 12.

Updated on August 02, 2022: Today, Samsung rolled their first One Ui 4.1 update to the global users with software version M115FXXU3CVF6. The update brings June 2022 security patch.

Steps to Install Android 12 on Samsung M11

Installation Instructions:

We have provided a detailed installation guide to flash the Android 12 update using Odin Tool on your Samsung Galaxy M11. To flash Android 12 (One UI 4.1) on Samsung Galaxy M11, you need to follow the below guide carefully:

  1. Download the appropriate Android 12 firmware file for your Samsung Galaxy M11.
  2. Extract the contents of the firmware zip file.
  3. Notice that the extracted files will be in “.tar” or “.tar.md5” format.
  4. Now download and extract the Odin tool on your PC.
  5. Open the extracted folder and click on the Odin.exe file.
  6. You need to connect your Galaxy M11 to the PC while it is in Download Mode. Samsung-Download-Mode-Confirm
  7. Notice that the CO port will light up on Odin once you connect your phone.
  8. Click the AP button and select the firmware.
  9. Do the same for BL, CP, and CSC.
  10. Keep in mind that the regular CSC file will erase the entire data. In order to save the data, select the ‘HOME_CSC‘ file.
  11. Don’t forget to select Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time in the Options tab.
  12. Click the Start button to install the firmware on your Galaxy M11.
