Stardew Valley Cheats and Console Commands

Like any other addictive game, there is a saturation level, after which players feel that there are extra limitations. Stardew Valley is a role-playing simulation game which is developed by Eric Barone and Sickhead Games. Notably, the game is available on all the platforms like Windows, macOS, Linux, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation Vita, iOS, and Android. Stardew Valley is in the market since 2016 and still is one of the best games in the genre. However, you have to take care of your energy, and other things to keep things in check in the game. And this is where Stardew Valley mods come in.

Besides, this post is for those who are stuck in such similar situations. Because in this post, we will give you a guide on Stardew Valley cheats and console commands that will help you to break-down all the limitations of the game and once again make the game more exciting for you. Though we do not recommend playing the game using cheats on Stardew Valley or any game for that matter, this guide will help you to break those barriers where you are stuck within the game. So, with that being said, let us get straight into the article itself:

Stardew Valley Cheats and Console Commands

There are two methods, which you can apply for playing the Stardew Valley game. The first one is obviously, with cheat while the second method is without cheats or mods. We will show you both the methods, and some other information that will help you go over the plateau you are stuck while playing the Stardew Valley game.

Stardew Valley without MOD

Note that before we head on and go ahead with Stardew Valley mods and console commands, here is a list of item codes that you should have in mind. Well, these codes will come in handy when you want to play the game without mods or mod-free. Because for some, mods can be pretty overwhelming and they might think that it is against the rule of the game. For this very reason, here is the first method which is for the users who wish to play Stardew Valley without MOD.

  1. Move beyond boundaries Glitch: There is a certain glitch present in the Stardew Valley game which you can make use to your advantage in the game. For starters, when you swing your weapon or attack, your character moves forward a bit. Making use of this glitch, you can move forward beyond boundaries in some regions. You need to rapidly press the attack button to break through the other side of the region.
  2. Infinite energy Glitch: Another important use of this repeated attack or swing motion is to use to gain infinite energy. All you need to do is to exit the game’s boundaries in Spa. Then head to the pool and place down a post in the water and touch it. This will make the game think that you are swimming giving you infinite energy.
  3. Stay awake beyond 2 AM: One of the frustrating things in Stardew Valley is that when the clock hits 2 AM, your character dozes off into sleep. Moreover, the person that saves you from this trouble and gets you back home also takes away some of your funds. In such a situation, you need to repeatedly try to open and close your journal. Though this trick will not entirely avoid your sleep, it will at least give you some time to reach your home without dozing off anywhere on the map.
  4. Item duplication Glitch: This is also called an infinite money glitch. All you need to do is name your character using item codes (given below) using one to three codes, for example [76][373][769]. This will help you get diamonds, golden pumpkin, and some Void Essence for free whenever your name appears in the dialogue. Head over to Gus at the Stardrop Saloon and whenever your name pops up in the dialogue during the conversation, you will be awarded the said reward. You can use this glitch as many times as you want to gain infinite money.

Stardew Valley with MOD

If you were to take my opinion, you should play Stardew Valley with mods or cheats. There are specifically two Stardew Valley mods or cheats that you can make use of, i.e. the CJB Cheats Menu, and the CJB Item Spawner. And in order to install these two mods, you need to install another mod, which is called SMAPI. Here is how you can do it:

  1. You need to create a Nexus Mods account to start downloading mods.
  2. Now download SMAPI and extract the contents and run the .bat file.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the mod.
  4. Once that is done, you will be greeted with a message “SMAPI is installed! If you use Steam, set your launch options to enable achievements (see smapi.io/install):” You need to copy the entire line including quotes.
  5. Right-click on Stardew Valley in your Steam Library and open Properties.
  6. Then head over to Set Launch Options and paste the text message as mentioned in the above point. Click Okay and close.
  7. Now go ahead and download both the CJB Cheats Menu mod and the CJB Item Spawner mod.
  8. Extract the contents of both the mod’s folder into your game’s mod folder which can be found under “Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley”.
  9. Run Stardew Valley using Steam.

Once that is done, during the game, you can press the button “P” to open a dedicated Stardew Valley mods center. A cheats menu will be shown which will have all the great Stardew Valley mods, that can help you ease your play in the game:

  • Infinite Health and Energy
  • Increased movement speed
  • Pausing/Unpausing time
  • Instantly completing quests
  • Altering relationships with NPCs
  • Changing the weather
  • And much more!

And to open the Spawner mod, you need to hit the “I” button, which will enable you to pick any item from the game and put in your inventory.

So, there you have it from my side in this post regarding Stardew Valley mods. I hope you liked this ultimate guide on how you can use cheats/mods in Stardew Valley. Notably, we have also highlighted a method which the users who do not wish to use the mods can make use of.
